Also you add Ziyech and the returning Pulisic into the mix it’s even more of a challenge ( which they should be up for fwiw ) however I can’t see Pedro or Willian sticking around as aren’t their contracts up after this Summer? If they are gone, I still think there should be plenty of minutes still knocking around for them especially when some will inevitably pick up injuries throughout the season.
Wigan have a big summer. Clubs circling for both Gelhardt and Weir. Good news for them though with Devine. Massive coup for Latics this...very, very highly-rated young lad...player of tournament for England U-16s recently against opponents tied to Real Madrid, Barcelona etc... #wafc https://t.co/aJVpu9dkf1— Paul Kendrick (@PKendrickWIG) June 6, 2020
Good to see some of the younger/new lads in training with 1st teams Bridge, A.Rasmey, Barry with Villa Lawrence, Bate with Chelsea Fiorini & Palmer with Man City Brathwaite with Everton
One interesting conversation to have is what will happen if the domestic cups are cancelled next season in terms of this thread. I know there's been no talk of this yet, but I thought I'd raise it as a hypothetical point given how congested next season will be and that surely something will need to give in order to complete it. On the one hand, it will be good for our main starters going into the Euro's, who are regulars for their club sides, as it will give them some much needed rest. On the other hand however, it will be bad news for players who are more fringe and squad players. Also, it would significantly hinder the chances of first team debuts for youngsters or opportunities for them in general given that is where their first taste of professional football tends to come from.
Interesting to see Chelsea now heavily linked to Havertz today, not sure how strong that link is but if he signed, maybe that would be a bit more of a concern for our English players as far as playing time is concerned next season. Ziyech, Werner, Havertz in plus the returning Pulisic might to start to impact playing time even with Pedro and Willian off. I’m sure like usual some will pick up quite a few injuries over the season as they normally do, so I’m sure things will sort themselves anyway and playing time will presumably be quite well shared given the probable amount of congested fixtures next season.
Hes been forced in too soon. Was hoping he could replicate what sancho has done but hes nowhere near that level yet
He just needs more time and a run when he doesn’t get injured. He’s had a bad injury so it could take more time for him to for fill his potential, I’m not overly worried, it’s just if he can stay injury free and I think he will be fine.
Somehow I actually forgot about that! Yeah, that’s a huge factor that he needs be cleared of firstly otherwise his career is down the pan full stop!

Gomes is reportedly close to signing a new contract with United which I can't help but feel will be a mistake. With his build he's going to find it very difficult to get chances to ever establish himself in the premier league. Considering he's 20 in August he's really at the age where he now needs to be getting first team opportunities or else the gap between him and his peers will really start to show.
Yeah, if he stays then a loan abroad is a must. O’Riley will probably join another Championship team or go to Holland or Germany.
3 - Aged 18 years and 281 days, Derby's Louie Sibley is the youngest player to score a league hat-trick in the top four tiers since November 2017, when Fulham's Ryan Sessegnon did so against Sheffield United (17y 187d). Prodigy. pic.twitter.com/D2fRubIgfP— OptaJoe (@OptaJoe) June 20, 2020
I’ve not really watched that much of Birmingham and more specifically Bellingham that much but am watching against WBA now and it must be frustrating for him as a player as within the first 20 minutes he finds himself in so much space as his movement is great but unfortunately the other players just aren’t good enough or quick enough to see him and give him the ball, feel a bit sorry for him. Feels like the other players are just not on the same wavelength as him tbh, will be interesting to see him at a bigger Club with better players.
Things went a bit better for him as the match went on. Does anyone else feel like he does much of his best work in his own half? Such a well-rounded player.

Did anyone watch foden tonight? Probably the best game I've seen him play. Ran that game from start to finish. Didn't look out of place playing alongside de bruyne and the Silvas. Seems like guardiola has finally seen the light. Shame it was against Burnley though with all their English starters but they're safe.
