Hall seems to be left midfield in a 4-4-2. Gets played in every position but his actual position that boy.

Garner and Branthwaite are establishing themselves well in the PL now. Jones is also looking like he is finally an important player for Liverpool
It's interesting how much he seems to have developed in the last year or so, despite not playing too much. Previously I thought his decision-making was a bit of a weakness and I think we had a conversation here about whether he'd do better if he was moved up front, but it really doesn't look that way now. Could be a bigger prospect for England than I'd anticipated.
Solid number of promising English youngsters in Premier League starting XIs today: Elliott Anderson, Anthony Gordon, Aaron Ramsey, James Trafford, Eddie Nketiah, James McAtee, Cameron Archer, Jarrad Branthwaite, James Garner. That doesn't include any of the youngsters that are regulars in the seniors either so that's some welcome positivity in this topic.
He's been all over the place since his 'assured' debut against the worst team in the league. Don't know why arteta prefers him.
Normally the home team tends to have the advantage in a situation like this. And particularly a home tram challenging the dominant leaders as the PL wants a tight table as long as possible.
What has home team advantage got to t do with anything when he's caught players twice with studs up tackles and you've got VAR officials sat in a TV studio hundreds of miles away who are supposed to be making objective decisions?

I think we’re well and truly in a trend now that’s under 30%. Not sure if it’s an alarm bell situation as many will argue the quality is still pretty high but ideally I don’t think it’s great from an England perspective.
It’s not but unfortunately nobody is interested in solutions. The FA are relatively powerless and are opposed to quotas anyway.
There have the sort of power they can only use if others back them. And if they did have quotas we all know those players would be hate targets more than anything by their own club fans. A lot of English players are already hated as symbols of only being there for homegrown purposes.
These numbers are also a reflection of more English players playing abroad and more dual nationals representing countries other than England. We are in a good place with our squad at the moment but i do expect this to cause significant problems in the next 5-10 years.
That's just the salty Africans refusing to rate English players who turned down African teams. Take no notice.
I’m not as worried about this personally. Big academies are having to pull out some serious stops to keep hold of top academy prospects who are cottoning on to the fact that PL clubs are offering decreasing numbers of opportunities to young players. That’s not going to become any less common if trends continue down the same path and I think you’ll just see more guys running down their contracts until they’re 18/19 and walking for free to clubs that are willing to develop them. Likelihood is that PL clubs will then respond by mapping out clear pathways to the first team for their talent like Arsenal and Spurs have done with Nwaneri and Moore this summer.
To an extent but there are still lots and lots of players moving from smaller club academies to the big clubs ones.
It's by no means going to be perfect. I also think the days of the PL being as dominant as it is now are numbered so its ability to attract the depth foreign talent it currently can will not be as strong in 10 years time, so there's that too.
