Yeah definitely due to injuries but the system is based on the best U21 players so you can’t rule out what he’s been like previously as his record and performances have been excellent. He’s rightly second imo. Having said that, I do agree Foden talent wise is better but doesn’t have the numbers compared to Sancho even though it’s impressive.
The guys on espn. Especially ali moreno were gobsmacked he was second. He called sancho a bit part player for dortmund. Which is nonsense. I would still have foden ahead of him
Just listened briefly, he’s definitely clueless. How on Earth can he say that Sancho just comes off the bench every now and again! I mean does this guy get paid to be a pundit! ******** me!
I think there's a lot of doubt that Foden is better. Sancho has probably had his worst season at Dortmund but still has more G/A than Foden.
People always tend to overrate youngsters at start and see only good things they bring to table and than afterwards see only the worst as they hit inevitable bad patch of form. Sancho and Foden are different players but both incredible talents and i have always found it very difficult to say one is FAR better than the other.

Imagine making your #AFCU18 debut… At just 14 years of age… And scoring a goal like this! 🤯 pic.twitter.com/b3lVYdkMCs— Arsenal Academy (@ArsenalAcademy) May 5, 2021 14 year old making his Arsenal U18 debut......not bad.
There were extenuating circumstances; 31 of the 32 players in the match squads were schoolboys and Reading had a lot of U15s involved too, but it's still very impressive, and there are a lot of people who rate Nwaneri *very* highly.
Exclusive: Arsenal hero Steve Morrow set to return to football with top job at FA. Morrow oversaw one of the most prolific spells in Arsenal’s youth development, hugely respected figure, so quite a coup for the FA. https://t.co/wxnBI6wj1v— John Cross (@johncrossmirror) May 7, 2021 Head of the talent identification program for Steve Morrow. Good appointment?
Mike Ashley sold Adam Armstrong & Ivan Toney for just £2.5 million combined. He also failed to put in any buy-back clauses. The duo have scored 59 Championship goals between them this season. pic.twitter.com/RArgVOvqhg— Premier League Panel (@PremLeaguePanel) May 8, 2021 Whatever happens with Brentford in the playoffs both these strikers will surely be playing Premier League football next season. Will be amazed if Premier League teams are not looking to sign two prolific strikers from the Championship.
Actually Newcastle get 40% of any future Armstrong sale. So say my club Blackburn sell him for 25 million. Newcastle will get around 11 million or something similar
Having watched him. Armstrong offers very little other than goals. He misses plenty of chances and isn't a great penalty taker. I can't see him making it in the epl. Toney is a different matter

I think that's harsh on him. Sure he will not be that player he seemed as a 17 year old, but he still could play his part for a smaller PL team.
