I'm reading speculation about Miki at ManU. Is he really getting iced out already? Is BvB paying attention to this?

So you guys are saying if BVB buys a quality CB + CM, you gonna be in for the title race again? So basically the same positions which were vacant in summer and your management bought Rode & Bartra for? Well, well...;)

You slayed us on Rode. Have no idea why we bought him from you guys. He sucks. On the other hand, Bartra deserves more time. He's had a few miscues but has been mostly solid.

Aubameyang is the first player since 1977 to score more than 30 goals in a single Bundesliga season (Dieter Müller scored 34 goals in 1976-77).

The situation we had on this match day (Aubameyang scoring with a penalty and thus winning the top scorer title instead of sharing it with Lewandowski) is similar to 1980-81.
Back then, Dortmund's Manfred Burgsmüller had been leading the top scorers table for many weeks but Karl-Heinz Rummenigge came ever closer as the season neared its finish. On the last matchday, Bayern's penalty taker Paul Breitner stepped back and let Karl-Heinz Rummenigge try his luck from the penalty spot and Rummenigge scored (I think even twice) and ousted Burgsmüller who failed to score on the last day. So it's basically the same in reverse we saw today when Reus stepped back to let Aubameyang score from the spot. However back then, in 1981, the western German media (known for its Bayern-loathing) made a big fuss out of Breitner stepping back and letting Rummenigge take the penalty. "Unfair", "Burgsmüller was robbed", and suchlike. Today nobody takes offense at such things!

Aubameyang and Lewandowski both scored at least 30 goals. This has only been the second time in Bundesliga history that two players managed that in the same season. The first and last time before this season was 1973-74 when Gerd Müller and Jupp Heynckes both scored 30 goals.

Lewandowski is only the second player in Bundesliga history since Gerd Müller to score 30 goals (or more) in two successive seasons (Gerd Müller did it three successive seasons 1972, 73, 74).

So far only five players have managed to score 30+ goals in a season.
They are Lothar Emmerich (31, 1966), Gerd Müller (5 times), Jupp Heynckes (30, 1974), Dieter Müller (34, 1977) and Robert Lewandowski (30, 2016 and 2017).

    Players that have come close are Klaus Fischer (29, 1976), Karl-Heinz Rummenigge (29, 1981), Jan-Klaas Hunterlaar (29, 2012).
