All the other three of the back four gave away a penalty, yet Varane still manages to be the most culpable by scoring his goal himself. Really annoying. The guy just stands in the vicinity of his man without really putting any pressure on. Too easy to build up play down his side. Ramos makes a mistake when he gets beat and that guy shoots onto the post from distance, but at least Ramos forces the attacker to work for their chances. EDIT: on reflection since originally typing this post last night, Varane was poor but imo so was Ramos. He did not close down his man properly on the Varane own goal. That cross should not be coming into the box. Plus Ramos plays the guy onside in the first place. I am just as annoyed with Varane as everyone else but to be frank the defenders can only be judged when there is a consistent back four playing together. The back line are all playing like crap apart from Courtouis. Imo this is on injuries, Covid and Zizou’s rotations first, and the players second.
Both fullbacks would be second or third choice. All the goals conceded yesterday were from crosses from the fullback positions. A consistent back line with one change a game would be ideal imo.
Benzema's agent takes aim at Varane: Since the City game, he's been a shadow of himself https://www.marca.com/en/football/real-madrid/2020/11/09/5fa9be3bca47410b428b4595.html
As we have conceded for many years before when Marcelo was a regular. I'll give you LV, no one can blame him or the backline for playing with him because he's simply not a defender. Even with that in mind, both Varane & Ramos played horribly.
It just looked like a person commenting watching a match. No different that what everyone else does and his observations matches what everyone else observed. Man people run with anything. You can't even be a public figure, played a sport, been an entertainer, agent or entrepreneur and have an actually opinion on any damn thing.
Djaziri hasn't been an agent for Benzema since 2018... https://en.as.com/en/2018/10/06/football/1538811265_822115.html Having that said, I 100% agree with his take on Varane. Varane has been awful this season & was a liability against Valencia last weekend.
When it's Bake agent talking shit about the club to the media? You can't see the difference in watching a match as a fan and commenting on it on a forum or twitter comparative to holding press conferences or interviews with the sole purpose to slander? Just stop.
Karim Dzaziri is Benzema's childhood friend. They go way deeper than agent/player. Benzema switched to a local Madrid agency most likely for tax reasons, Dzaziri said "our business relationship is over after 15 years, our friendship is eternal". So this isn't just an "agent/former agent", this is Benzema's close circle.
So because he is a childhood friend he apparently fired from being his agent it means he can't have public opinions which everyone agrees about regarding football matches? Ahahaaa
Of course he can, but your best friend trashing a team mate isn't really cool. Sometimes it's better to keep your opinion for yourself. Nobody asked for his opinion on twitter. Especially since it's exclusively about Real Madrid. How would Benzema react if Modric' wife would post "Benzema really trash today, good lord, get somebody else in there".
Stop the hyperbole. Not his best friend. He doesn't not work for Benzema or Madrid. He is free to share an opinion every damn body in the world was thinking. Lol! Yes, someone's wife is equivalent to a childhood friend you fired as your agent two years ago. The reach is so great and the spin even better. Trump level.
Agenda in this thread too obvious. Meet Benzema's "childhood friend" Karim Dajziri who met him at 15-years old to represent him as a professional footballer Ahahaha
Dzaziri has talked about Benzema even after their business partneship has ended, but apparently, since the optics aren't cool, we have to dig up links that make it seem like they aren't friends despite both of them saying the opposite. Cool cool. Dzaziri can have his opinion. But up until now, this season, this is the second time shit about team mates come out of Benzema himself or his camp.
By the way Benzema is now on the same agency that represents all Real Madrid players that were busted for tax evasion. Pretty neat.
I don't care either way, but after a match like that, just zip it. We are seeing it for ourselves. We're not trying to hear that shit.
