R.I.P Zito!!! Thanks for all the memories for Brazil and Santos!! I'm quite sure we will be wearing black armbands on Wednesday!!
Damn!! I f'd up!! I'm off by a month!! World Cup 1994 started today!! Then you had the New York Rangers Victory parade, the Houston Rockets winning the NBA title, Arnold Palmer's last game and then to top it off O.J Simpson's Bronco chase by the police!!
Our B Team from Copa America 1993 was so good. Ultimately we were eliminated in the quarter-finals but there was hope. 22 - Zetti [São Paulo] 2 - Cafu [São Paulo] 3 - Antônio Carlos [Palmeiras] 4 - Válber [São Paulo] 6 - Roberto Carlos [Palmeiras] 17 - Luisinho-RJ [Vasco] 8 - Marco Antônio Boiadeiro [Cruzeiro] 10 - Palhinha São Paulo] (18 - Marquinhos ) [Flamengo] 11 - Zinho [Palmeiras] 7 - Edmundo [Palmeiras] (20 - Almir) [Santos] 9 - Müller [São Paulo]
What happened to defensive midfielders Sandro and Paulinho? Sandro is playing in the championship for Queens Park Rangers and Paulinho is playing in China. Both of them should be in better leagues then that. Anybody know why both of them have been thrown away so fast? They are both only 26 years old.
I would say Paulinho confidence was destroyed during his time in England and he never recovered. I think Sandro had injury issues which delayed his development and he regressed.
