The two players to be signed are Teddy Sheringham and Romario obvisously I am kidding but since Metro's/RBNY existence we have got our hopes up with big signings and have been let down (except JPA). I want to be an optimist you know glass half-full but until results start happening on the field I will be skeptical. Question for anyone with an answer on how much cap space does RBNY have and what is up with Oscar Echeverry?
I believe they signed Oscar Echeverry and they have TONS of cap space to work with. Like something near 600k I think. That is plenty to get two quality players plus some good subs to add to our depth. In JCO I still trust. Plus if we can somehow get Lider I think we will be in a good place defensively...from all accounts the guy is a beast.
ANy truth to this I take anything this webpage says with a grain of salt. Is it true that Osorio was in Venezuela on Tuesday with Gio Savaresse. http://www.planetavinotinto.com/main/index.php?option=com_content&task=view&id=2537&Itemid=36
Ronald Vargas, 22 yrs old and a Midfielder/Forward, is the player from Caracas FC that Osorio is, reportedly, looking at: NOMBRES: Ronald Alejandro APELLIDOS: Vargas Aranguren POSICIÓN: Medio y Delantero FECHA DE NAC:02/12/86 LUGAR DE NAC: Guatire PESO: 76 Kgs ESTATURA 1,74Mts DEBUT EN CARACAS F.C.: 2002 (Sub 17) TITULOS CFC: Campeón Sub 20 (2003/2004), Campeón 1ª. Div. 05/06 06/07. ACTUACION INTERNACIONAL: Copa Toyota Libertadores 2006. ACTUACION EN SELECCIÓN NACIONAL: Sudamericano Sub 20 (Colombia 2005
Another Vargas pic: Some video of Vargas: http://www.sportsya.com/video/index.php/Caracas_vs_San_Lorenzo__Declaraciones.html?id_video=1661
I would be shocked if Osorio does manage to get him. This Vargas guy has been one of Caracas's best players in the Libertadores this year (if not the best). Metro
Any of our spanish speaking friends have an update on the article? was there any follow up to it? reaction in venezuela? anything?
Camp is basically over at this point, with pre-season done and a few off-season signings all that's left. Thread is unstuck.
Au contraire, mon frere! The Red Bulls still have one more pre-season game to play. This takes place tomorrow in NC, against the Carolina Railhawks. The time of the match is 7:30pm and it will be available at USLlive.com for free.
