The guilty one who committed the foul will be whipped in public... Dont take it too pessimistic. First of all injuries make players "grow up" (dont know if thats the exact word for it). Then another player will now have the chance to show up. If he is good you wont think about Richards missing. If he is not good you will be happy when Richards is back again. At least you will know what your "backups" are capable of. Ultimately due to the playoff-system the start of the league is not as important as in other leagues. (afaik)
So I think the salzburg thing is a disaster. I understand corporate synergy, but why go there? So our squad can train in the snow and play RBS reserves? The team should go to a warm climate in early March.
All that, plus we lose Dane for "at least a month". All this while other teams are training in warm climates with grass. Well, maybe it will help them cope with opening day (always a weather disaster).
I don't know if you guys are aware but there is an official Red Bulls blog out there. Here's the link: http://redbullsreader.blogspot.com/
As I predicted RBNY won the second match: Red Bull Salzburg vs. Red Bull New York 2:3 (0:0), Goals: Rakic, Janocko; Angel, Sassano, Magee. This was truly a "friendly" now - match was "just" 85 minutes long (as arranged before the match, dont know why).
Its good to see both Sassano and Magee on the score sheet....85 min thats odd...whatd they do play two 42.5 min halves?
No. First half was 40 min. Second half was 45 min. + 2 min. stoppage time. A bit unordinary! Dont ask my why they decided to do so. I dont know.
I did not see it but afaik he hammered a shot from the range of the box into the net (65th minute). Perhaps there Larger picture here: http://img256.imageshack.us/img256/6619/rbsfamilly1gj5.jpg Player list for this "family picture" http://img256.imageshack.us/img256/5783/rbsfamilly2bt0.jpg Pictures of the match: http://www.gepa-pictures.com/
From the official RBNY website: "Trialist Lidor Marmol was forced to leave the game with a hamstring injury in the sixth minute of the match and is expected to be out of action for six weeks." Read and weep, Chicago.
Interesting twist. Chi town said they were going to make a quick decision on what to do abuot Marmol. Now he is hurt. I wonder if they will still sign him, because I'm pretty sure Osorio would definitley still sign him.
I would love to see Chicago not sign him and then Marmol (Marble in English) make a miraculous recovery. About time that the ball starts being played in the FO.
Either that's terrible luck having two teams compete for you and you come off injured after 6 minutes in a pre-season match or they staged it. It's probably the former but it would be interesting if they pulled the latter off. Coaches love playing mind games with injuries.
They have already started conspiracy theories. I think the long hard winters up there start to get to them. They are saying RBNY are faking the injury so that Chicago will not sign him. Grab your Tin Foil hats Chicago.
Damn, they're uncovering our secret plan to fake an injury, sign Lidor Marmol, then trade him back to Chicago for Conde and the draft picks we gave up for JCO.
