Accidentally took the wrong bus so I got off at PayPal Park and ambling around...looks like Peet’s Coffee is setting up across the street(I didn’t notice that and/or missed it posted here) edit: Also saw a few cars coming in but something tells me they were for the hotel across the street not a bunch of new signings

The last few games, I have rediscovered the Skyy Lounge. It is open to anyone (barring an event there), and now that they have put some semi-walls on the 2 sides of the corner, there seems to be a lot less wind. Or, i was just up there on a couple of good days. The audio system up there is awfully loud tho, so we bring ear plugs.
That's a pretty cozy location from which to watch a game - out of the wind, no direct sunlight on your face, and great views.
Stadium drama in Orange County... Imagine if the Quakes tried to do this to the Oakland Roots.... This Tuesday 8/9, @City_of_Irvine city council will discuss possible options for future of Championship Soccer Stadium. 2 opt to be discussed: @orangecountysc continues as primary tenant, or @LAGalaxy get exclusive use - meaning OCSC loose their current home. pic.twitter.com/DxwltzEIeV— Orange & Black SoccerCast ⭐ (@OCSC_SoccerCast) August 5, 2022 ORANGE COUNTY SOCCER CLUB CONDEMNS LA GALAXY BID FOR CHAMPIONSHIP SOCCER STADIUM Our thoughts on the Championship Stadium proposal. RSL made some key hires in their front office and it has flipped the fan culture of their club. They’re proof that any MLS club can get a boost. You don’t have to be an expansion club to capture fresh energy. https://t.co/o4BEnKHkLv— MLS Buzz (@MLS_Buzz) August 7, 2022 Sporting KC experienced this with their re-brand and stadium. FC Dallas is going through something similar right now, too.The San Jose’s and Red Bulls of the world don’t have to be hopeless.— MLS Buzz (@MLS_Buzz) August 7, 2022
Well, it started with an exposé of the FO culture of sexual harassment which got the league to force out the owner and force a sale....
Do the Quakes any of these at their facility? I keep seeing videos of it (starting with All or Nothing Manchester City), most recently from the MLS All-Star game and the Oakland Roots... Yes, I have witness academy players playing games on those tables just outside the weight training room at the stadium on home game days. That’s the small area with artificial grass below the team offices.

Do you think that means the Hispanic supporters group will move from the LOBINA and join the ultras behind that goal?
Where will the the stadium display the score and player names (including yellow/red card accumulation) now? GO SAN JOSE EARTHQUAKES!!! -G
"Construction will be ongoing for the remainder of the 2022 season and is expected to be finished on Nov. 1." Why do stadium construction between now (August 10) and November 1, when the regular season ends October 9? The Quakes have almost no shot at making the playoffs, why not begin construction after October 9, which leaves plenty of time before the 2023 season begins in March 2023? 3 months during the regular season, instead of 5 months during the offseason? There would be enough time for 3 months of construction even if the Quakes went all the way to MLS Cup and hosted!
That really hasn't worked well in the past. I actually like having the Ultras at one end, and the conglomeration of other supporter groups at the LOBINA end. Ultras need to figure out a way to increase their numbers though, they really haven't changed much since the Buckshaw days. Maybe time to talk to some brand and image consultants.
It looks to me like the group has been shrinking. I know one way to increase the numbers... Buy a big star player or three and make a run for the cup.
