So yet another season is upon us and it starts out with a 9 game road trip before finally coming to our new home. The new arena should be absolutely great. The team will have to overcome a lot of players leaving so it should be a real tough season. The division is not a slam dunk as it used to be because the Rangers are better, the Pens have Crosby, Philly shouldn't suck so bad and the Islanders have put together a good team. We might take a step back this year but guys like Elias and Gionta have to step up. We already have Colin White and Jamie Langenbrunnner injured and the rumour is that Lou is looking to pick up Danny Markov.

It sould be a hell of a season. Game 1 - Thursday at Tampa Bay.

    Filthy goal by Gionta.

    Brodeur is awesome so far.

Tough loss against Ottowa. I am really starting to hate the Senators with a real passion. Gionta and Parise look good together so far and Brodeur still looks ver sharp. Kevin Weekes had a good game against Florida and Madden had a very good game with 2 goals. Hopefully we can get back on track by beating Florida again. Only 6 more games left on this road trip.

Nice to see Elias finally get on track. That game winning goal against Atlanta was absolutely huge.

This team is playing terrible defense right now. Rachunek and Vishnevski are not getting the job done. Langennbrunner and White better get healthy faster. We need to reshuffle the lines and improve the defense. Brodeur is not having the best start to a season. Zubrus has also been playing poorly. Can't wait to get the team back home already.

Maybe a brand spanking new arena to play in will give them a little spark.

Hopefully. I would also like to see them give the Rangers a good ass kicking this Thursday.

Got my tickets for the late December home game against Buffalo today. My first trip to the Rock! Hopefully Sutter will shape them into something worth watching by then.

That was just a frustrating loss. It was just really infuriating to see how they just couldn't find a way to score. At least Brodeur didn't stink up the place. At least the road trip is finally over. Now its time to start winiing some games.

Finally this team is stringing some wins together. Finally having home games is awesome. I hope this streak can continue against the Rangers. It's a shame that this game is gonna be at the same time as the Red Bulls game.

Not so fast. They looked like they were sleepwalking against the Pens last night (5-0). The one goal on the give & go (3rd liners?) developed slowly and the D was still caught flat-footed.

That loss last night was just plain ugly. One step foward, two steps back.

This team is the definition of inconsistency. Just look at the last 5 gameS. In that stretch we had two very good wins against Philly an the Pens and followed them up with crap games. It also looks like that we aren't planning on beating the Isles or the Rangers anytime soon. Yesterday's loss against the Isles was just a complete joke. No offense and losing on a complete fluky goal. It's time to turn this around. It's good to have Langenbrunner back. That should help out the power play and arrange the lines the way they should be. Hopefully tonight will be win #500 for Marty.

Had to pop in and congratulate Marty on 500. Happy as hell it didn't happen against the Islanders. Almost as happy that it did happen against the Flyers.

To quote a friend who is a Flyers fan, that I watched a bit of the game with "It's fitting that Martin's 500th would come against the team he got his 499 previous wins against. At least it seems that way. And to do it in Philly, thats just like peeing on our faces."

Not sure whats going n with Broduer, but the highlights i've seen , he's letting in some very soft goals. It's hard to believe considering he's probably the best goalie to ever play the game.

Finally we are putting some wins together. That was a very impressive road trip. Going undefeated, getting Marty #500 and his first shutout this season was all great. 7 of the next 10 games are at home so now is the time to put a really good run together.

This team is on a roll. They are playing great hockey. This home stretch got off to a great start with the comeback win against Dallas and the shutout of the Habs. Marty gave up a couple of soft goals against Dallas but played great the rest of the way. I really love David Clarkson and Zach Parise and the intensity they bring to this team. This is exactly the streak we neede to get back in it. We are closing in on the Rangers and The Flyers.

Figures.. Langenbrunner named Captain, no points. Elias stripped of captaincy and he collects 3 points.

Great persistancy by the Devils to come back from an 0-3 deficit. Parise/Gionta/Elias line was on fire today.

    8 game winning streak baby!

Talk about a hot streak. This stretch of games is everything I wanted and more. The last two games were tough but they still managed to pull the wins out. This team didn't lie down after gooing down. They showed real heart. Great goal by Elias. Hopefully this gives him the boost he really needs. Hope this streak continues. Big game against the Rangers coming up and maybe we can actaully beat them this year especially if we go into that game on this hot streak.

Next victim - The Rangers. Better extend this streak to 10. This is going to be a huge game.

Another win against Boston. Back on track after the small losing streak. Hopefully Jay Pandolfo can come back to the team soon.
