I like food too. I'm hungry and I still have to wait an hour and a half till work is over so I can go to the Olive Garden for dinner. Mmmmm....salad, breadsticks, chick parm...I can't wait!
Do you enjoy eating my family Caroline?????!!!!! Edit: What the ************ is this? Only 2 images per post now?
Amen. I mean, consider the motion to ban all vegetarians from this thread humbly submitted and seconded...
A Rolling Rock?!?!?!? Are you in my neck of the woods? I went to Damon's last week - had the ribs, but mashed potatoes instead of the onion loaf. A girl has to cut her calories somewhere! I'd love a Rolling Rock right now...
I am tempted, however, to copy & paste Ian's recipes as he so graciously shares them, so that they aren't lost again! (how's that for a suck-up?)
I've always been a fan of the Rock. And I had to go with the onion loaf as I hadn't been to Damon's forever.
Today I had some fine Eastern NC chopped bbq served with cole slaw, freshly fried hush puppies and a frosty glass of sun-brewed iced tea.
--What exactly is a hush puppie? Besides ugly footwear? I mean, it's fried, so I'm sure I'd like it....
They are delightful dollops of cornbread dough that are gently, carefully crafted to a fine, fried golden brown. Also: See Manna, Heaven.
You mean Jeff didn't archive those, too? (well played, honeychile. The long awaited Weber Grill version of my baby back ribs will make an appearance as a result.)
Actually, I have several printed out that I could re-type if you'd like. One was your pulled pork (a-hem), the other was something else you posted that day, I forget exactly. I'm not a superman.
I hate to admit this, but I've never had non-tomato based bbq. I'd love to try it, though. What type of slaw do y'all prefer - mayonnaise or vinegar based?
To oversimplify, it's fried batter. If you go to a seafood restaurant on the North Carolina coast, you can't avoid them. And you can't stop eating them.
