Here's his Linkedin profile: https://www.linkedin.com/in/tutul-rahman-b7533212 Previously peddling Coke (and Coke-subsidiary tea in Eastern Europe). He was in charge of Fanta!! But the Quakes are his dream job.
Reminds me of Steve Jobs, to then Pepsi CEO John Scully: “Do you want to sell sugar water for the rest of your life, or come with me and change the world?”
And Tum-E-Yummies! He's a second degree connection to me, but because I only have free LinkedIn, can't tell who our link-in-common is. Don maybe?
Belushi was a Second City alum and I’m sure, as everybody who’s lived in Chicago, familiar with the Billy Goat.
In what's likely obvious by this posting, NBCUniversal and YouTube TV agreed to a short extension while they continue negotiating. For how long this extension will last is still anyone's guess, though... GO SAN JOSE EARTHQUAKES!!! -G
Glad you mentioned that. I'd assumed the VC game was unavailable, as previously listed. It's now listed as available. I hope they don't pull a bait and switch on me.

Yep, just got the email from YouTube TV saying the same. This means YouTube TV is back to carrying ALL Quakes games no matter what channel they're on. The only things left to complain about is Telemundo needs to update their guide information when they carry the Quakes so that YouTube TV can record it properly. Any Spanish language station needs to provide the English soundtrack (although this is surprisingly low priority for me).

Interesting article on MLS wages. San Jose only moved down one spot on payroll spending despite "austerity mode". As a matter of fact, the team is 15th out of 27 in points per dollars spent. I think all the teams that have less payroll than the Quakes are in playoff positions right now. If you are morbidly curious about the player wages, here's your guide. I confess I just glanced at the first few names and got bummed that Judson is paid less than Abecasis. Really Jesse? https://mlsplayers.org/resources/salary-guide
Yeah, also first glimpse at Nathan's salary. I was curious. $600-something-k seems pretty reasonable. It's in that Kashia ballpark. Our top 5 earners are Espinoza, Rios, Fierro, Chofis, and Alanis in that order. That makes it pretty clear where are main roster inefficiences are coming from.
Beason deserves a big raise. Benji too. Lopez, whoa, I like him but he's doing better than I expected. The Nathan and Jebo signings were both ambitious. Shame that Jebo had to miss 6 games at such a critical point in the season.
