Very curious how good Cheon Seonghoon (Augsburg) will be. Manuel Baum seems to rate him. I'm also curious about Park Jungin (Ulsan) as well. He's 18 years old and scored 2 goals against our senior team last training section. Got some praises from NT players apparently and one of the Ulsan official said he was the best prospect to come out of Ulsan.
I hope Jeon Sejin has a breakthrough season for Suwon. He showed that he can play CF in the u19 AFC championship.
What's interesting about all these three players are they offer different things it seems. Park is more of a prolific goal scoring striker; Cheon Seonghoon seems like a Mandzukic type of striker and Jeon is somewhere in the middle.

I love me some Mandzukic. Tall, strong in the air, excellent workrate, intelligent.

They've been doing this for as long as they've been running the association.

Bonfrere mentioned this to Duerden right before he left back to the Netherlands, he said the KFA gave him a list of the players and told him to play the 2002 WC members, Bonfrere was left stunned. This is also a reason they like to use domestic managers, because they have no say against the KFA.

I think KFA banned JHS because they could not persuade Lunch Box not to use him. That treatment was a bit harsh in retrospect. There are a lot of athletes who did the same thing and they are very scared right now.

And it smells like a conspiracy theory. KFA are bad but not that bad. They probably suggested a few players and this and that over the lunch and backed down when Lunch Box expressed displeasure.

lol no it was not harsh at all. KFA had no choice.

    1. Fans love football in Korea again with good atmosphere.
    2. It's related to military service.

Military service + one of the most hated players in Korea? You bet there wouldve been a shit storm if they didnt kick him out.

This is a pretty famous story, but when it was time to announce the squad for WC 2002, KFA told Hiddink that they will do it, and Hiddink knew KFA will throw the names in the list that he didnt want, so he scheduled it one day earlier and announced it himself.
