I know, but it functions in a complimentary way. If you can go into these notoriously difficult environments and put the home team in such a position to be on the business end of the "Oles", you know you've done a great job. Central American fans don't do that lightly.
Points in the October WCQs. Mexico — 7 points (as it stands) USA – 6 points Canada – 5 points Costa Rica – 4 points Jamaica – 4 points El Salvador — 3 points (as it stands) Panama – 3 points Honduras – 1 point
Damn context is everything. Here we were(and I) digging our own graves 3 hours ago, here I am looking at Canadas result tonight and thinking "Wow they look so much better than us!" yet in the end we got the second most points this window, in front of Canada.
Canada was losing for awhile and even at like the 66th minute. After they went ahead the goals poured in. It’s like our match vs Honduras… better team won both games, but at about 60 in the matches were in the balance.
This El Salvador team is feisty, but beatable, even away. I expect three when we play them away. Mexico should really be up 2-0 after that Pineda miss
Mexico looks exactly like the USMNT at El Salvador, only difference is they converted their set piece
Perfect results. USA win. Mexico Win. Canada Rout of Panama Jamaica upset over Honduras. Irrespective of other results, a one goal win had usa back to 96% direct qual, but preliminary runs with these results have us at 99%. Now, reality it's not thaaaaaaat high, but the Elo is not lying. We are in veeerrrrry good shape. In fact it's like 1-2-3 are done and it's a crap shoot for 4th. But the spreadsheets don't play the games of course.
El Salvador fans doing their best Mexico fan impression after that conversion. all the liquids on the field. All the lasers. All of them. And the lasers in the eyes. Its like they never left Mexico
