So I figured I’d just bump this thread in light of today’s bad news instead of the discussion getting spread out in 3 places...

Anyways my thought is I would be surprised if la real’s medical staff wasn’t keeping ours informed of what was going on.

Great move. Modric has been great but you just never know with aging players when they're finished

 

I'm worried about his injury but I love the guy, hope he has a tremendous season here.

Im very excited about him ,he is direct,quick,great vision.

I have a feeling Zidane will change the system for next season from 4-3-3 to 4 -3-1-2 like in 2017.Casemiro,Kroos and Valverde in midfield ,Odegaard in a free role like Isco with Benzema and one of Hazard/Vinicius next to him.

 

That's already better since we don't even have a good natural position RW. Odegaard can drift there from the middlefield.

 

We desperately need someone to occupy the right side of the field without looking like a complete dork. Martin could be that guy.

 

Personal story: I attended Odegaard’s Real Madrid debut live back in 2015 in the Bernabeu when he was 15 years old. Now he’s finally returning at age 21. I’m so excited!

How much would Odegaard go for in the market? 60? 80? 100? His return is the equivalent of a major signing

 

I will not hurry to be happy, because will be interesting to see how much he will play and grow here. Cause if despite Valverde, Odegaard Zizou will still too often will start Lukita,Kroos, Casemiro.. well thats too bad.

 

Modric showed that he still got it in some games, but against Manchester City, I can see the gap between him and KDB. Furthermore, Odegaard has played on the right wing. I can see him taking it over from Rodrygo or Asensio.

 

so even more intereesting. Rodrygo, Vinicius, Asensio.. how midfielders will look also. Very curious to see.

 

Preemptively summarizing all the anti-Zizou takes in relations to Odegaard:

Odegaard doesn’t come:
“Zidane has no idea, he prefers to play with 40 year olds”

Odegaard does come:
“What a waste, he will play less than Areola”

Odegaard plays:
“Sure but will he play him on the biggest stage”

Zidane trusts Odegaard:
“Of course, because he’s a good player. Zidane gets no credit”

Remember when RM haters and agenda driven AS(when Relano was there and had a beef with Flo) targetting this kid as a flop when he was only 16-17 and still playing rather well against grown up professionals? Some here knew he was class all along.

Carlo was also a dick moaning about Odegaard signing in his typical "new book affer a sack" because Flo didn't ask for his approval. As if youth signings need first team coach's approval when only Simeone has stayed at a Spanish club for more than 5 years in this century. Bet Barca waited for whoever their coach was before signing young Messi. [emoji23][emoji23] Carlo made the kid a scapegoat because he was salty about Flo sacking him.
