Just a quick note: Seedorf is with Milan now, and I'd probably throw Contra at right back. That Rui Costa guy might get some time with Pirlo too ;)

i believe Ancelotti will try to put as many of his talented midfielders/forward as possible on the pitch (yep,Seedorf included),and something's got to give... he'll tighten up the defensive line with pure defenders,it's possible that when Roque Junior recovers (in three months) Maldini will go back to the old left fullback position, this time with strictly defensive duties though

Rui Costa gets the nod before Pirlo. And I wouldn't count out Redondo getting a good amount of playing time. The same with Contra, especially if Milan (who knows why) goes with a 3-5-2.

wow this is weird... seedorf is long gone to ac milan. And this is my milan line-upL442
    Abbiati
    Kaladze
    Roque Junior
    Nesta
    Maldini
    Seedorf
    Gattuso
    Rui Costa
    Rivaldo
    Shevshenko Inzaghi

I know Juve fans favor Del Piero and that is what the coach will do, but in my opinion Trezeguet is much better....

here are some nice graphic visualization from datasport.it:

Milan > Pirlo operating from deep in the midfield, like Guardiola at Barça: that's his natural disposition,Ancelotti'd better recognize it: Pirlo left the forwards too often alone playing in the U-21 squad. Sheva will replace Tomasson or Inzaghi when he's back

Inter 3-5-2 for Inter? it makes sense, but Cuper loves 4-4-2; and Recoba should get the nod before Dalmat in that formation

Juventus Tudor and Trez will replace Tacchinardi and Di Vaio when they're ready; Lippi was experimenting an Ajax-like scheme before Trez injured himself, with two offensive wingers and Del Piero a few meters back,in the role Litmanen used to play with the dutch team

Roma not sure Guardiola will be a regular starter, with both Montella and Bati on the pitch at the same time,i bet Capello will cover the defense with Lima

I think Ancelotti will go with three in the back at some point this season.

    ---------------------Abbiati---------------------
    ----Laursen/Kaladze--Nesta----Maldini-----------
    ----------------Pirlo/Ambrosini-------------------
    Seedorf----------Rui Costa-----------Serginho---
    -------------------Rivaldo----------------------
    -----------Sheva---------Inzaghi---------------

I think this line-up is a bit too offensive for Carlo but one can hope we get to see Pirlo, Seedorf, Serginho, Rui Costa, and Rivaldo all on the pitch at the same time.

um.. yea Kaladze plays left back.

Milan will not play with 3 man defense against bigger team... so in important matches milan team will look like

    abbiati
    simic-roque junior-nesta-maldini or simic-nesta-maldini-kaladze
    Ambrosini(Gattusso)
Pirlo(Seedorf, Serginho, Brocchi, Dalla Bona)-Rui Costa
    Rivaldo
    Sheva(tomasson, since sheva is injured)-Inzaghi

with subs for ambro and pirlo are other possibilities

with 3 man it would be:

    Abbiati
    Simic(Roque Junior)-Nesta-Maldini
    Ambrosini-Gattusso
    Pirlo(same subs as above)-Rui Costa
    Rivaldo
    Sheva(Tomasson, since sheva is injured)-INzaghi

the visualization u posted bestianera is nice.. except i think putting Rui Costa on the bench is like asking for fans to be mad... Rui is awesome and can play next to rivaldo.. he must be used at all times.. even in 4-3-1-2... Seedorf can be benched, but RUI MUST PLAY!
