That chick looked pissed when he asked if she maybe got the cream on her face by accident after she reached for a towel, but grabbed a stripper instead. That was awesome.
"The Daily Show officially jumped the shark tonight." I agree. I noted that on that same night. John is getting too smug and the audience is too fawning. This is no longer cutting edge stuff. He had a good run however.
Anyone who never watched Happy Days should never use that phrase. Hell, everyone should stop using it altogether.
I thought last night's interview with Steve Carell was hilarious. They just stared at each other for a good 2-3 minutes. Nobody can do the straight face like Carell.
I was cracking up when they were drinking the coffee and when steve checked his watch. when they showed the picture of bush having a parade past that lady who was protesting, i was rolling!
The guest on last night's show, John Hodgman, was hilarious. I know the guy is an author but The Daily Show should hire him to do something with the show. He was much funnier than any of those new correspondents that they've hired.
TDS is rolling along just fine, thank you the last two nights have been superb, last night's bush haiku segment was utterly, utterly brilliant
I caught the tail end of that interview and that was pretty damn funny. And I just paged through his site right now (thanks for the link Murf) -- because I knew that guy had to be associated with McSweeney's somehow. And I was right.
Good catch. Plus, it looks like he has written for The Believer too. I just downloaded and listened to the List of 700 Hobo Names. I got through 130 names which included some chuckles but I couldn't make it through all 700.
