No man. Don’t say that. It’s not like no player or their agent has ever played this game before? Never.

Except that it’s done all the time. Using Madrid or some other club’s name to use as leverage to get the max out of your own club. Following this principle you can use any player whose name was mentioned by the rags and Twitter ITK to fit your narrative that the club is just being run on auto pilot and players are signed by having their names picked out of a hat by a monkey.

I remember years ago Spanish rags said Messi could sign with us when he was negotiating his contract. But this stupid club was never interested in Messi so here we are in the middle of a 10yr trophy drought when we could have had prime Messi.

    Their headcannon supersedes reality.

As Shay alluded to we get used all the time to get more money; see Mbappe.

If any of Halaand, Mbappe or even Gnabry truly had Madrid as their primary option they would have been playing for us last Saturday.

In the end these guys are just frustrated... bit I don't get why when we just won a CL and La Liga title and have a very strong team, great financial ability, stability and a new stadium on the horizon.

I don't get that criticism, (if that's what it is) Vin does the same from the left, more often than not when he gets the ball he immediately heads inside towards goal, even without the ball he makes those runs, it's not like we have these wide men who constantly hug the touchline and never move anywhere else, how else do they think Vin has scored all those goals, sometimes he even moves to the right when some plays are developing

If anyone followed the conversation here long enough they'd know it's part of the frustration some have with our fullbacks thinking they don't attack enough, to give that width, Vin and Rodrygo start wide yes but the idea is to move constantly to offset the defence i would imagine, i don't think you'll see if we are attacking down the right and moving closer to the box that Vin will be standing way out on the left touchline just hanging about, he'll drift inside too to try to make the most of the move, seems to me the plan is clearly to move as much as you like, to confuse when we have the ball, and defend your side when we don't

I think this is such crucial point to remember.

Yeah, that’s exactly what leads people to think that these guys are people for whom complaining is like breathing. We all know people like that in our real lives, at work or in your family. People who are constantly complaining. And it’s rich when they use the “Madrid should always strive for more” line. Lol.

For the record it’s perfectly ok to express your disappointment even if it’s not based entirely on practical logic, if that is how you feel but the constancy of it is what repels other posters and then we miss even the valid points they sometimes make. This “I’m right” stuff is so childish and makes the forum less fun to read. We are currently the Spanish and European champions and yet the forum is dealing with such a level of negativity and pessimism as if we hadn’t won anything for half a decade. Such discontentment isn’t normal which is why the narrative of the miserable poster comes into light.

    Chill.

"Were not interested in" and "didn't do enough to sign" are two completely different statements. I did not make the latter regarding Gnabry.

Reportedly, the player's priority was to stay at BM and RM wasn't interested. His move was a rumor imo, no more.

Imagine going back to late 2000s when we were getting knocked off in first round 5 years in a row....

Im fine with Fede and Rodrygo covering RW unless a world class RW is available, and i dont consider Gnabry to be one.

    Those were dark times.

I remember CL teams slicing through our midfield and defense like a hot knife through butter.

We need more balance in our attack. Better defensive teams in the CL and even La Liga are going to shift everything over to Vini and Benz on the left. Rodrygo/Fede or whoever will need to take advantage with the spaces given on the right and be decisive. Vini cooks many RBs and CBs, but well coached clubs will double him, so we need more cutting edge from the right to really reach our title goals this season. Simple as that.

If you want to hear my opinion, most of the players earning big bucks right now are overpaid and overrated.

If you'd never have watched football and you tuned in to social media and see how this Antony guy is being hyped you'd be convinced he's on the cusp of being the next Cristiano Ronaldo.

I think the difference between a Lucas Vazquez and some of these players isn't even half as big as their wages would suggest.

Greedy rat Mbappe gave an interview :
Mbappé: "Real Madrid dream? You never know, I don't belong to Real Madrid but it feels like it's my home or something like that."

There's more to it but it's just excuses and lies. But he confirmed about President of France intervening.
    My take on this is:
They promised him with a signing bonus, contract, dirty money under the table and everything else close to a billion dollars. Before you come at me and call me out, hear me out. Messi's contract costed Barcelona confirmed 555M for 4 years.
And Barcelona is a legit club. This is an oil club with whole Qatar and everything and money under the table.

Olympic games in Paris are 26 July to 11 August. You think that is a coincidence? He got paid and convinced to be the face of PSG, France and Qatar for Qatar WC and for Paris Olympics.
A coincidence so big that his contract is until 2025?
I doubt he leaves for free in 2025 so there's probably a deal to leave after Olympics in 2024.
He'd be 25, in his prime and the future secured for him and his great-great grandchilder (but transgenders can't get pregnant tho).

By 2025 who knows what he is. Maybe he's old news by then. Maybe the club is in a different place.

As soon as he extended with PSG I removed myself from paying attention to him.

We should create a verbal agreement in 2026 and offer him the world, then when he announces he’s leaving Paris and is time to sign the contract with us, just stop picking up his phone calls

Part of me wants MPeypop to sign for us in 2025 just so I could witness the incredible abuse he would suffer from our own fans at his presentation. Hell, I'd even buy a ticket for that and bring a massive sign calling him all sorts of things.

I wonder, does he ever run into our fans these days? Cause if I saw him, I would record that shit while shouting abuse at him, telling him to take Real Madrid's name out of his filthy pesetero mouth. To go suck on Khelafi's stick some more, and that I'll buy him some kneepads cause I feel sorry for him. I'd ask him how a life of an elite escort is serving him, and much much worse things that involve his closest people that I'm afraid to post here lol.

Are they some source that's reliable for Brazil in general?

Endrick could get a pay package close to Mbappe by PSG if they really want him.

That sounds swell and all, but there will be tough times ahead if we rely on name and reputation to wait for those who truly deep in their heart want to play for Madrid. We used to make players want to be at Madrid, persuading them because our offer was better than the others, from a combined sporting-financial prospect. We have the means to do that now as well, but we are simply too conservative. Which is perfectly legitimate given the economic situation, but then we should drop this pretentious attitude that every player except Mbappe and Haaland (and now apparently Endrick) is not good enough for Madrid. You can't have it both ways.
