    Not my argument, but I am pretty sure Messi's won 4 CLs. 2006, 2009, 2011 and 2015.

He played a total of 300 minutes the entire champions league campaign in 2006 & scored 1 goal. He also didn’t play in the final.

It’s ridiculous to think that should count.

You counted the European Championship Ronaldo won, where he played like 10 minutes of the final. Which considering if getting the team to the final is all that matters, Messi has done that multiple times, including getting his team to the World Cup final.

    Correct.
After playing in six of Barca's first eight matches in the 2006 tournament Messi suffered a torn hamstring in the Round of 16 second leg against Chelsea which kept out the rest of the season.
But he still received a winners medal since he played in the tournament. Unlike Claudio Bravo who didn't receive a 2015 winners medal since he didn't make a single appearance in the tournament despite being the regular starter in La Liga.

Messi played 300 minutes out of an available 1170 minutes available.

So he played 25%, basically the same amount of time a sub would play throughout a tournament like the champions league. He scored 1 goal and didn’t play in the final or even make the bench for the semi finals or quarter finals lol. So if you guys want to count that in his tally then go for it, but we all know the truth. He had next to no involvement in winning that trophy.

Every CL title Ronaldo has ever won he has been by far the best player on the team and scored the most goals in that campaign while being the driving force for the teams success.

Just like the Euro Cup where he scored or assisted 66% of Portugal’s goals & he is the leader & captain of that team. He was playing in the final & unfortunately was subjected to a fairly dirty tackle which he got seriously injured. Thank heaven Portugal was able to win the finals anyways, that squad deserved it, CR deserved it, & the Portuguese people deserve it. I still remember partying until the late hours of the morning after we won. An all time great experience for me & wonderful memories.

You guys can lie, hate, & twist the truth all you want. The facts are the facts & you can’t deny it.

And that qualifies him for a winners medal.

If you want to count it then count it lol I really don’t give a f*ck. Ronaldo’s 5 CL titles don’t need special qualifications to give him fake credit for something. Crazy to think Ronaldo alone has won the CL as many times as barca has in their entire existence as a club. Pretty insane.

Clearly you do. Otherwise you never would have brought it up.
I just go by what UEFA says.
But I’m with you about not giving a f*ck about the Champions League.
Messi’s 6 Liga titles over Cristiano’s 2 is more valuable when assessing matters since they had to play each other twice every season.
Even Mourinho and Zidane, who both coached Cristiano and won the Champions League multiple times, value the 9-month consistency of league play over a knockout tournament. They’ve been there so they would know.

I think he's lost weight, which is great planning, if it was done for the hot summer games.
