You're right about that. But in existing provisions ref can give a red card for handball. Though some of them thinks that penalty is enough punishment for the team and are giving yellow or even doesn't. In this situation even penalty is controversial.
Look at 0:00. Ther it is.

To stay in J1, I believe Sanga must win probably seven of the remaining eleven games.

    Winnable...
    Jubilo (H)
Sanfrecce (H) - with some luck
Frontale (H) - if Frontale has one of those days
    Omiya (H)
Montedio (A) - surely not a walk in the park... But they might be safe already
    FC Tokyo (H)

So, to these Sanga would need to eventually add one more, such as Sendai (A)...

I still believe Sanga has less than 10% chances, but all might change if they make 6 points in the next two home games. Still, it is overall a mediocre team with no real valid alternative to the top 12-13 players.

Adding no reinforcements was the ultimate nail in the coffin. With one good midfilder and a goal-scoring foreign forward (say somebody doing what Rafael did last season - instead of Chiego), there could have been hope.

Also, the change in management was clearly late. A rookie like Akita can already do better than Kato...

I think Sendai is going to be an easier game for you than FCT, especially if you both are the last two for 15th place.

In all honesty, I believe that by when we'll get to the Sendai game Sanga will be already trying out the youth players, to see which one might eventually get a chance in J2 the following year.

Sanga has only one shot: MUST win the next two games at home vs Jubilo and Sanfrecce. Any other result and c'est la fin.

Honestly we're better than under Kato, but still a so-so team (same players, ne), and also kinda unlucky - a terrible quality when you're walking on thin ice.

Yep, we seem to rely on Adriano more than I wanted to.

Didn't see the game though, so no quick judgement yet.

This vs Jubilo was Sanga's key game to give a turn to the season.

They played without strikers (not even as subs), and never shot on goal (meaning a shot in the frame). I don't remember Kawaguchi touching the ball once.

And so, down goes Kyoto Sanga FC, for the fourth time...

I'd love to report a beautiful post I just read on a Kyoto Sanga's forum.
    Reads like a haiku, basically:

    Gamba Osaka's captain: Lucas.
    Kyoto Sanga's captain: Diego.

    Unseen in Kyoto.
After the game the supporters DEMANDED a representative of the club under the stands they then proceeded to insult him for 30 minutes.
Detailed report on japanesesoccer.net later tonight.
Anyway, it is becoming VERY ugly at Sanga.

They should save these celebrations for their home matchs. Just have a thought for the poor Sanga supporters.

They did a whole samurai-esque performance after their first goal against S-Pulse on Wednesday. In my anger at going 1 down, I was raging that they should all be yellow carded for time wasting.

Well, in Kyoto they did it UNDER THE FANS OF THE HOME TEAM who have already quite a few reasons to be pissed-off... But it seems as it is an accepted fact by now, so we'll live with it.

IMO, some of the celebrations are really fun, but they're overdoing it. Goofing around on the first goal of the game should be enough.

    Japanese only, sorry.....
This is Yuto Sato after Sanga-JEF 0-4.

Goru_no_ura as you know, I am a Bellmare fan... i think thats gonna be a great fight between Bellmare vs. Sanga: Who will not be the last placed...

Kyoto have some good players like Yanagisawa SUPER SHOOT, Diego (no Thiego) and Miyayoshi...

but some leaves from last year weakened Sanga as Teshima, Yuto Sato and Kenya Matsui ...

well, I just have to say good luck to us in J2 2011 :(

I am so annoyed by Sanga that I barely care.

Still, I believe that for the club's future, the best scenario is one where this season all remaining games are lost 0-4 or worse, and the board, the manager and 80% of the players are fired.

Some, if they were honest people, should return their salaries to reimburse the season ticket's holders.

    Vegalta Sendai's third goal:

    Saito -> Akamine -> Fernandinho

    Meaning...

A player discarded by Hisashi Kato -> A player that was turned down by Hisashi Kato this summer -> A player discarded by Hisashi Kato.

Oh, by the way, Paulinho just scored for Ventforet. Do you want to try guess why he's not at Sanga anymore...?

Amazing anyway how in Japan one single man could be left in power to destroy a club...

As general manager he signed Diego for US$1m, Dutra for US$0,7, and Thiego for US$0,6m... :D

Adding Kwak Te-hee you reach US$3m, which cover the salaries of the WHOLE
Vegalta Sendai Roster (before the summer). Cerezo has a TOTAL of US$4.2

(Going 1US$ = 100yen even if now it is more like 80 yen... But the proportions are the same).

I think the only thing left to say is hat MANY of my friends here in Kyoto hope that Sanga gets destroyed tonight too. And to turn supporters against their own team in Japan, you really need to work hard...

    Dreams come true...?? :D

We have also seen already Masushima coming on a ball one second late, and right into the face of a S-Pulse player.

This promises to be another classic...

    30m.

Honestly, like in Nagoya, Osaka, Hiroshima etc., Sanga just conceded a very stupid goal, but is doing the game.

The pattern is to concede the second on a counter, then go on to lose 0-4.

You also have to say that Sanga are really unlucky...

That shot by Morishita goes in 99 times out of hundred, to find a mid-air leg of the falling goalie can happen only to a few teams... well, one in particular...
