As one of the four top teams in Belgium, I think they also deserve their own thread. Maybe this could be a team for you, Kansassoccer...
This weekend Steven Defour made his debut. The guy is an AM from 16 years old. He's been with Genk for two years now (before he played for KV Mechelen) and seems to be an incredible talent. Before Genk attracted the player there was also interest from Manchester City, PSV, Lens, Aston Villa and Arsenal.
I was just about to make a Genk thread. They finally re-opened their English site and although it's not complete, it's finally something from them.
The site looks good and from what I have researched about them they are pretty solid. I'm going to choose pretty soon here.

Looks like we've lost some. We had a small influx of new posters but they are gone. Not to mention Belgian Guy and gerby I think are having computer problems. But there's no need to worry, we have tomo . Please keep up the great updates.
Once again your avatar freaks me out. I'm sure the bodies will hit the computer soon.Things happen in waves. The West Ham forum got a ton of new bodies from soccernet. Something could happen here as well.
I do my best to scare you . Hopefully we see some new posters, but like I said, I can't complain about the ones we have now, they are great.
My home PC is dead I have to buy a new one (not before January I'm afraid ) so I can only post from work but I must do it when I'm alone wich is quite difficult but I do my best to post regularily.
I agree, don't you think asta and bluedaddy will look good using it next week . I understand it's hard to post from work, but I hope you don't think I was trying to insult you. I know people have lives to live and they can only post as often as they can. I hope your new computer is cool.

No, I think it started 2 years ago (or so).We also have a couple of dutch refs that appears a few times during the season as well as the luxembourgish one. It's not due to a lack of belgian refs it's a kind of collaboration between the three countries as we also send refs to the Netherlands (not sure for Luxembourg).
Quite a beating Genk put on Hasselt during the Belgian Cup. A convincing 5-0 victory. Genk is now into the final 16 (sweet 16 as we say in America). Goals scored by: Dimitri De Conde (2), Koen Daerden (1), and Kevin Vandenbergh (2).

They actually did. If it wasn't for goalie Cliff Mardulier the score would have been much higher. De Condé was superb for Genk. BTW, there is a difference between Genk and Gent. The former is in the east of the country, the latter closer to the west.
