I've only got audio from the mls stream, video seems frozen ;/ Too many people logging on(hopeful?)? Ah well. Draft tracker seems to be working decent enough, though a few picks behind...
http://www.soccerbyives.net/soccer_by_ives/2008/01/mls-draft-2008.html#more Fastest updates with decent commentary I have found. Stephen King still available, read some good things about him...Cauldron could have a field day with that name.
damn you columbus -- they called a five minute timeout with the pick right before us (traded for dallas' pick).
Here's what's happened in the second round so far. #15 - San Jose - Shae Salinas #16 - Red Bulls - Eric Brunner #17 - Real Salt Lake - Alex Nimo #18 - New England - Mike Videira #19 - FC Dallas - Avila #20 - Columbus - James Josten #21 - LA Galaxy - Ely Allen #22 - Columbus (just traded from FC Dallas) - Ricardo Pierre-Louis
that's ridiculous....his average projection was 63rd, wtf? by contrast, whoever said germanese would be available much later, his average projection was 28.
Well, Onalfo sure looks upbeat. And lord knows I'll have fun yelling 'YOMBY!!!!' Anyone know if he's a guy we can get forward on set pieces to get a head in? I'd also be curious as to what keepers will be available. Sort of have the feeling Hartman won't be around come '09 or '10...
i'd say they're worth a lot for gauging where players will go generally. i will bet you that he is the furthest from his projection of any pick.
from proplayerpipeline: "Yomby William, the oldest player at the combine - 26yo, doesn’t have much upside. He might be worth a late round flier. He has good ball skills and wheels to cover. His defensive positioning is weak and would need to be improved."
