    Here's one thing I am looking forward to: standing again for the national anthem.

    For 31 years I didn't stand for the national anthem, I stood at attention. Eyes front, body turned toward the flag, shoulders back, feet at 45 degree angle. I never said a word during the anthem, never clapped until the final notes had faded away. Came out of attention to parade rest.

    But I stopped when Trump politicized the anthem and "supporting our troops" when he attacked Colin Kaepernick for kneeling. My protest was that I wasn't going to stand anymore. And it was hard as hell. I'm eagerly anticipating being able to stand once again.

    Hey, all. I have not posted in the P&CE threads since December 15, 2020, as I attempted to take a sabbatical from politics and posting*.

    Have I missed anything?
    (other than the very, very serious debate about bicycle helmets and whether people who choose not wear helmets should be disenfranchised)
