Was wondering what the general consensus was about the performance of the Italian players at Valencia. Here is a snapshot of my impressions. Unfortunately, I haven't been able to watch many VCF games this year, so a lot of this is based on what I've read or inferred.

Di Vaio - After a solid start, he has faded a bit. Perhaps his dip in form is due to the overall poor form of the team as a whole. Either way, he still has a lot to contribute.

Corradi - Never overly impressed with him. Don't understand why he plays instead of Mista so often. He has what, 2 goals this year? Valencia would be better off with someone else in the lineup...

Fiore - Was spectacular last year at Lazio, but struggled to find a place in this side. I'm not sure if he was left out early on due to poor form, or if his lack of form was due to his being excluded. I've heard rumors of a return to Lazio, but it would be a shame for him to leave before getting a good chance to succeed.

Moretti - Haven't seen him much in a Valencia shirt. Not too impressed with him from the Olympics.

Carbone - What can I say about Carbone that hasn't been said a 100 times already? :) The man is a machine.

    What do you guys think?

Pretty much spot on. I was hoping Fiore wouldve settled in better then he did. Corradi is a waste. Haven't seen enough of Moretti. Carbone, on the other hand, is a football genius.

well the thing with Corradi is he does the things that dont show up on the scoresheet. He wins balls in the air, holds the ball against defenders...allows a second striker to do well. Now I dont know that his skills are translating well in the Spain however....

i agree, the team is not doing their best once the team comes out of the slump we might see their talent.

I always thought Di Vaio was a good forward. When he's in form he's as superstar.

Marco Di Vaio - 20-scorer, in a bit of a slump but he's capable!
Bernado Corradi - 10-goal scorer and does the non-statistical things!
Stefano Fiore - an X-factor type player, he's worth having if for nothing else because he is explosive and can dominate a game!
Emiliano Moretti - LT replacement for Carboni, very capable LWB!
Amedeo Carboni - playing and collection pension, superb!

The thing i need to see more of is this line-up!

    Canizares

    Curros Torres
    Roberto Ayala
    Carlos Marchena
    Emiliano Moretti

    David Albelda
    Ruben Baraja
    Vicente Rodriguez
    Stefano Fiore

    Bernardo Corradi
    Marco Di Vaio

    .....................
Pablo Aimar - he's the player you wanna throw on in second half to cause HAVOC!
    Miguel Angel Angulo
    Mohammed Sissoko
    Xisco
    Amedeo Carboni
    Miguel Mista

i disagree. i feel we should have something more like this:

    Cañizares

Reveilleire (we should have kept him)
    Ayala
    Marchena
Carboni (until he needs a zimmerframe, he stays in my squad)

Fiore (because Rufete is past it)
    Baraja
    Albelda
    Vicente (need I explain?)

Aimar (because he can cause havoc from the start and throughout the game)
Di Vaio (because on PES4/WE8, his stats are better than Corradi's :D )

    ***Subs***
    Angulo
    Sissoko
    Xisco
    Moretti
    Jorge Lopez
    Mista
Mendieta --> bring him back (joking!)

Revelleire is turning into a great player at Lyon (Pretty sure he's there, could be wrong) We definetly should've kept him.
