Many of you have already seen the pictures, but this article is absolutely hilarious http://www.grantland.com/story/_/id/9529241/usmnt-new-york-s-magazine-greatest-photo-shoot-history
So I wouldn't have believed it possible that anything could make it fun to look at those photos again.
Maybe really, finally just owning these things will prevent Mexico fans from ever teasing us about them again.
Note to self. If I ever become famous enough to where a photo shoot is requested of me, demand that Anton Corbijn do the dirty work.
"I think we're going to get a whole new fan base for our next games in New York and San Francisco," Kasey Keller said Monday. http://sportsillustrated.cnn.com/soccer/world/2002/world_cup/news/2002/05/27/us_fashion_ap/
The Donovan picture, especially with that ring, is pretty questionable. And I don't even know what to say about McBride looking super-awkward or a weird-looking Keller desperately trying to be sexy.
Yeah, they look uncomfortable, but the Pablo shot is just....weird on top of it. He's wearing what looks like a female top, in an awkward pose, humping a bench...it's just....so not Pablo. I have no words.
Words cannot convey the ridiculousness of those shots. Only the Beazer as the Pisser tops it all-time.
This is far more embarassing. Our national team coach actually believes this charlatan can rip phone books because of his motivation and desire.
We think these photos look ridiculous because the players look effeminite and/or gay. I predict the author of this piece will wish he had never written it......and soon.
He avoided saying anything about that. And I would expect there's no shortage of gay men who think those pictures look ridiculous.
Har har har -- still so very funny. Only thing it's missing is a spread of Alexi Lalas' chest hair, sporting a neck-tied argyle sweater and banana republic spandex.
No, it's because they look like cartoon characters. Well, Donovan looks gay, but the other ones just look like insane people. I still can't get over wtf McBride is doing with his legs.
