I thought Beric did enough to stay on when Offor came on. He had a good game after finally being benched.
Game over. Fire win. They failed in their efforts to wait 2 full years between road wins. Time to start a new "streak.
For sure, I have way more of an issue with Offor coming on as the lone sub in the 60th minute than anything else- Berić def deserved to stay on there. Ultimately, Offor did show a couple of flashes of competency with his half hour on the field, but served the ball up to RBNY on a platter several times and at least twice that I can remember pushed forward on the attack in the waning minutes instead of trying to find a corner to dribble to and kill time. Related- I’m really glad to have Medrán back and hope he’s in the 11 next game. With him and Aliseda (hopefully soon) back, Wicky will hopefully bury Giménez on the bench where he belongs.
Dinner was ready so I was away from the laptop. A road win. I've got "9" and "1" already dialed on the phone so all I have to do is hit the last "1" if the big one hits tonight.
What is the old saying I'd rather be lucky than good. Fire was lucky tonight both on the goal they scored and the many shots the red bulls put over the crossbar.
Offor is so difficult to watch. He does all the hard stuff (hold-up, beating the first man to get space) and then rolls what should be an easy short pass right to the other team.
