No, I don't know what you mean. Dede had two MONSTER seasons back in 2001/2002 and 2002/2003. He was very good before then!!

Dede didn't get all the press Lahm did because he's not German!

BTW, your boys in Munich were trying to work a deal for Dede before they decided to bring Lahm back.

It won't happen. Germany said they wouldn't poach players from other nations and I think they'll stick to it.

But if it did, Dede wouldn't back up f#ckin Lahm. No freakin' way!

Lahm is good, but he can't freakin' touch Dede.

Alright alright guys, no reason to play down Lahm...he's young and he'll get back to form and he'll become even better.

And I was for bayern getting Dede some time back, I was very disapointed it didnt follow through.

Nobody is "talking down" Lahm. I said he's a good player. He's just not as good as Dede.

I'll bet you if Lahm weren't about to become a Bayern player, nobody would know who he is outside of Germany and Bundesliga fans.

Let me give this a try:

Best Player : this is a tie between Ballack, Adriano and Riquelem because Ballack didn't play one game, in every game he played he made an impact, Adriano had lackluster games agaisnt Japan and Mexico, Riqueleme did little against Mexico and Brazil
    Most impressive: Podolski & Schweinsteiger

    Exactly!

    Lahm can't carry Dede's jock.

I just stated the facts as the Fifa decided em

They honored the best players and best goalgetters before they gave Brazil the title

I think Dede is a great player and has a great head on his shoulders but he's Brazil and shouldn't play got Germany.

Wandi, do you remember when the little "Dede for Germany" movement got started??

Didn't Brazil call him up and play him in one match to stop him from getting the German passport??

    Somehow, I remember that happening.

I do as well but that was a friendly and imho therefor doesn't count

Your opinion doesn't matter in this case. FIFA rules do.

my imho refered to that fifa rule

IIRC a friendly doesn't count only OFFICIAL games

    its not my opinion

if I am wrong than its ok

but as I know only qualifiers or games in official turnaments count
    checked the fifa rules now

and if I didn't overread something i was right :

they ONLY name official games as reason for NOT allowing a player to change his nationality

We are misunderstanding each other. You mean you THINK a friendly doesn't count. That's not what your words meant, but now I think that's what you mean.

I'm almost certain friendly appearances count for this rule.

Whether the match is a "Friendly" or not, you are counted with an international appearance, or "Cap" as we refer to them as.

As far as I know, once you have that appearance, you cannot appear for another country without special permission from FIFA.

Does anyone know the actual regulation on that? I don't.

Well, tough break for him but I don't see how that qualifies him to play for Germany?

And for the record, I thought that Rink and Dundee playing for Germany was a bad idea too.

It doesn't. You just have some Germany fans prone to dreaming. They're allowed! LOL!! ;)

I thought Rink was a bad idea at the time, but I thought Dundee was a good idea at the time they called him up. They needed to try something.......
