Good awareness for Palmeiras opening goal backing off when he saw his teammate was in a better position to shoot. ضيع الهدف على أندريك 🥲 pic.twitter.com/3QhcakASok— عالم إندريك (@9_endrick) November 12, 2023 This is crazy distance given it's his weaker foot and he still generates a lot of power. ENDRICK OFF THE POST on his weak foot from outside the box. https://t.co/aOciCgtrw8— All Things Brazil™ 🇧🇷 (@SelecaoTalk) November 12, 2023

Just a little update on this. With Endrick getting his 9th goal in Serie A, he has more than doubled Gabriel Jesus’ tally from his debut season of 4 goals as an 18 year old for Palmeiras. Endrick is still younger than when Jesus made his Palmeiras debut btw
Neymar scored 10 league goals in his debut season with Santos. Endrick is close to matching that with 9 goals and a few more games left this season.
Different players, skills and positions, but Neymar was obviously so talented it was scary. Endrick not as much, it still showing signs he could be a serviceable player for us.
This is ridiculous. Neymar was ridiculously talented, it's true and anything I say about Endrick shouldn't disparage him. But there are more types of skill than the flashy dribbling that grabbed the world's attention with Neymar. Neymar debuted in the league when he was half a year older than Endrick and scored less goals per minute than Endrick has this year. Then in his second season when he was 1.5 years older than Endrick, he still scored less per minute. It wasn't until his third season when he was 19 that he bettered the ratio Endrick has so far this year. Endrick re-entering the team has led to reinvigorating a once moribund title challenge. And his recent goals generally havent been a result of him finishing opportunities generated by his teammates. He's been making them happen, often from what looked like little danger. I don't know what Endrick will become, but a framing of "not scary talented but might become serviceable" is wildly underselling him.
Let me clarify. Watching Neymar you knew he was going to be a star. Watching Enrick you see potential for being a star.
Le but du 2-0 pour Endrick, en dehors de la surface 🔥🇧🇷 https://t.co/oZzdCoQ8pp— Real French Madrid (@RMFrench_) November 12, 2023
Yeah, and let’s not forget Neymar stayed in Brazil until he was 21. Doesn’t mean to say Endrick will be better or worse than Neymar at that age, but there’s a big age gap there.
His shooting seems very well developed. I really like what I'm seeing here guys. You can understand why the club went all-out on him, he truly seems like a rare talent. Can't wait to see him at Real Madrid in a year or so!
Neymar still needed one adaptation season in La Liga. He only scored 9 goals in 2013-14 La Liga season. Then scored 22 in 2014-15. Aguero came to La Liga at 18 and looked very raw in his first season. It'd be only natural if Endrick takes couple of seasons to adapt to La Liga level. Him playing consistently well for Palmeiras now is great news though. After this season, he still has State Championship and then 3-4 months of Brazilian League 2024 as a regular starter to keep improving.
Top of the table, baby. Botafogo with a game in hand but mentally destroyed. We can be champions. Unbelievable.
And really a tie was the best possible outcome as Bragantino could have overtaken Palmeiras had they won with their game in hand). Given their state at themoment, I'd bet more on Botafogo dropping them.
Endrick •4 goals in the last 4 games •9 in the championship, a goal per 140 minutes •33 shots, 19 on target •29 dribbles completed, 33 fouls suffered (he is not only a finisher) •Only Neymar at 17 years old has scored 9 goals in the Brasileirao in the last 2 decades • The youngest player called up by Brazil in 30 years, even surpassing Ronaldo Nazario
