Of course! The only reason they were angry was because it wasn't them organizing and benefiting from it. It's like when you see a company invent something successful and then think to yourself why didn't I think of that?
We only give a pass to Raumdeuter here. Football is a product, not a culture. Especially being in the US you know you're a cow being milked more than anybody. Fans = Customers. At least the Superleague made no qualms about that being the case, while the UEFA still pretends to care about the folks they are stealing from.
How does that change anything? Even Uli Hoeneß sees you guys as customers, consumers buying a product, local or abroad: "Der Kunde"
The only thing that changes is the logo on the kits. Bayern's bosses being boohed and grilled for an hour for the kind of money they are accepting makes it obvious. These clubs will do a deal with anybody that pays well. Pro Sports is a product.
🎙🚨| Florentino Perez: "I will keep fighting for the Super League, just like Santiago Bernabeu fought for the #UCL”— Madrid Xtra (@MadridXtra) May 28, 2022
I was against the originally proposed format of the Super League because of the no relegation/promotion/qualification thing. I think teams should participate based on merit. I’m all for the Super League if there’s a more traditional system of qualification or promotion. I love the Champions League as a trophy and competition but I hate UEFA as an organisation. Hopefully Florentino can make it happen.

Tebas needs to focus on trying to be am even average league president. His useless ass would be nowhere without Madrid and barca. Someone needs to take him down a couple notches and remind him of his place comparative to the clubs he runs his mouth about.
Football at that level is so mismanaged and corrupt. It's ridiculous. These people run on otherwordly debt due to the fact that football is opium for the masses.
🎙️| Florentino Perez: “Nasser Al-Khelaifi said Real Madrid launched the Super League because they’re afraid of competition. Maybe we remind him who Real Madrid is, the most successful club in HISTORY.” #rmalive— Madrid Zone (@theMadridZone) October 2, 2022

Wish Florentino would defend Vinicius like he has his baby ESL.. With that said I agree wholeheartedly. It's ironic to me that the regular fans think the players are idiots, but they are so damn dumb they can't even comprehend what Florentino is saying here and what he was trying to do (for them as well).

The counterpoint to what Florentino is saying is that the money doesn't treat football as an attractive product that pulls people in, it treats it as an addiction, something people can't quit no matter how bad the action is, simply because of how attached they are to it, perhaps at a cultural level. Where Florentino might be right is how this might play out over 2, 3 generations when people don't get born into football families. So what happens with football? Two big legs holding football up is broadcasting and gambling. Broadcasting has endless time slots and are glad they don't have to produce content, they just buy it and throw it on air, and gambling companies are absolutely in love with the fact that there is more stuff to gamble and lose money on.
