Went from Martino (who led the team to the title) to de Boer, followed by Heinze. Must get it right with the next appointment...

How interesting, van Gaal is back in charge for Holland for the 3rd time... De KNVB bereikte zojuist een akkoord met de nieuwe bondscoach, die aan zijn derde termijn begint en zijn definitieve voetbalpensioen – na zeven jaar als tijdelijke pensionado in Portugal – dus tóch nog even uitstelt.https://t.co/uxMvNYaMv8— De Telegraaf (@telegraaf) July 21, 2021 Signed a 18mo contract with Blind, Hoek and Fraser as his assistants. Why here? Morrison is no longer our player after all. On a serious note, with the trouble they seem to be experiencing, maybe United can help Derby (and Rooney) out by loaning them a few players? Could be a deal that works in everyone's favor, with the Championship a good competition for a few of our youngsters to test themselves, on top of an economically viable way for them to get players onboard (since it appears to be a major issue for them). Could find out which positions/type of players they're in need of and see if we can oblige...
Not exactly sure what the number is but I've heard of something like that also. Imagine that Derby can take all the help they can get and it appears we could be in a position to help them, if we cared to. Just feel bad for Rooney though: staved relegation off by the skin of his teeth, with pretty much the same circumstances (no money/players available). And now it appears it will be even worse for him. Rough for a first coaching gig...
Sell them Phil Jones for a pound. Loan them Mengi. Chong loan w/ obligation to buy if certain perameters met.
yes there is but this was basically caused by covid + the usual mismanagement that Cocu faced continued https://www.skysports.com/football/...s-by-efl-ahead-of-2021-22-championship-season https://www.skysports.com/football/...t-quit-but-demands-signings-before-new-season
I have been in the Dutch thread and they seem torn on it. RdB was clearly disliked. LvG is considered old and stubborn but he can right the ship for the WC so they main concern is who will he be grooming or the association grooming post 2022.
Now that the Derby thing has been moved appropriately, I do like the idea of sending them as many U23 guys that need first team training as we can afford. Mendi, Hugill, Levitt, Garner and Shoretire, etc.
All jokes aside Jones needs to be shipped windowed to sell so send him there let people see he can still play.
Van Gaal may not be perfect but if Holland has any designs in the coming WC next year, he's still the best guy available to Holland at this time. Hiddink probably would have been the other. But it's telling that 2 older men might be their best bet at this time (with all of the younger, viable candidate not available at this time).
Availability was an issue. Guys like Bosz signed with new clubs at the start of the season and Ten Haag would require a buyout and they just spent money on buying RdB so the best available at the best price was LvG. Maybe after 2022 the can look at the guy who is currently coaching Greece as an option.
Of those 3, would imagine that van't Schip would be the only realistic option. Both Bosz and especially ten Hag would be excellent choices but they would appear to be tied to club football a while longer (as they should). Ten Hag btw, is still someone I'm very high on and whenever Ole needs to be replaced, he's someone I wouldn't us looking at, if he continues at the rate he's currently going. As stated, van Gaal is clearly the best bet they have when considering Qatar is right around the corner. It wouldn't be surprising in the least to see him guide them far into the competition. The hope now is that the KNVB is using this time they have to set up a viable successful plan though.
