I know some words in a lot of languages (8 to be exact). Some languages I know more words than others and can hold my own in a conversation. Because I deal with clients around the world, I try to be polite and say thanks or something else in their language if it'll make things easier, especially when English may not clearly be their first language. But damn if every respondent doesn't send me something in their local tongue, and it's almost always slang! And I can't translate it even through Google translate. (Italian is the worst because every region has its own dialect, and I only learned the Italian I did from the Lombardy region.) So I have two questions: Is doing this in emails even remotely helpful or polite, and should I stop doing this even if it is polite? Spasibo/Grazie/Merci/Dangge/Dakujem, KSC
Keep doing it, and ask them to interpret the slang for you. I imagine they’d love the opportunity to explain. How many lame-ass perfunctory emails do you and they deal with everyday? Add some fun/spice.
When I was a kid, there was a weight limit on youth football teams. Which is why I couldn't play junior league football.
Same here. Not really safe to have him with kids the same age Went to a local HS game a while back. One team had this kid who looked to be like 6'8" and 400 lbs. He didn't do a whole lot but I feared he'd fall on someone. I went to the concession stand and saw a father & son around the same size who I assumed were relations.
In related news, which I won't link to but it's easy to find, the gorillas were getting down & dirty in front of shocked onlookers at the Bronx Zoo
Nyeem Powell. 5'10", 290. Still got a lot of growing to do, and most of it needs to be vertical at this point. How many of those guys pan out, or even make it to the college level?
Wait, that's not even 200 pounds. Seems it'd be easy to find 200 lb. 15 yr. old ruggers. HS gridiron is full of them. I mean, if your HS O-line averages less than 250, it's either a small school or a very unsuccessful one.
I do get that it's a whole different game. But, really, how rare is it to find a bunch of teen athletes in that size range?
You can find them a bit older - e.g. Jonah Lomu was well over 100kg at school It's just rare for them to be actually good at rugby and fast at that kind of weight. It might be different since my time now that the kids likely work out more and get into the "supplements"
I get that. BITD, there weren't as many students participating in off-season weight training. My first year of ugrad, the QB at my HS came into late summer 25 pounds overweight. I didn't see any games that season, but other alumni said it took him until late September to get into shape...

I really hate it when people do shit like this and put it on some other format than YouTube, but whateva https://www.instagram.com/tv/CS1l-qCoYJx/?utm_source=ig_web_copy_link Okay, much better.
Daughter has spent the last 8 days on a friends boat cruising around Henderson Bay and Carr Inlet up in Wa. I was not invited!
