It's totally unfair to say they've only raised $405.

The guy who started the campaign donated $45. So really, they've only raised $360.

So there are 7 people really interested in this. A growing movement, I tell you. If you damn MLS-bots weren't actively cutting them off at the knees, they might be somewhere.

Our nefarious plan to keep them from amassing the vast sum of $500 is working.

Keep up the good work and await further orders from MLS-Bot Commanders Tomasch and Dure.

Note to pro/rel zealots, the above is satire. I felt that needed to be clarified for your sake. :D

Why must we keep tearing these people down? They're only $195 short of hiring another plane! Then who KNOWS what might happen?

Oh, wait...I do. Nothing. Nothing will happen.

"Hey, man....at least he did something!" (At least, that's the current meme. A guy made a completely symbolic gesture that moved the needle not one iota, but at least he spent money on The Cause.)

63 hours left. Unless an angel comes through here, it looks like $405 is the final tally.

Is Ann Arbor the club that got turned away by the NPSL?

And RWB Adria has been around for a long time, yes? They seem to always be in the US Open Cup.

The others I'm not familiar with.

Doesn't appear to, no. But one of the US-AFL's aims was, apparently, to try to bring existing clubs and leagues under their umbrella. So they can get promoted. Whether they want to be or not.

The Croatian Eagles have been around since 1922.

Yes when even the NPSL won't take you. That means the team has big issues.

How on Earth have Croatian Eagles and Adria been able to survive as clubs for so long without the possibility of promotion?

Well the Chicago league did have (not every year I think) pro/rel.

    http://www.nslchicago.org/

But now they moved to a league with out pro/rel ; why would they do that, don't they know pro/rel is magic?

wait I think that was the indoor season, not sure about the outdoor. Shows how much attention I pay to the local leagues with the pro/rel magic, I mean pro/rel should mean the league player in from of thousands of fans right?

Well, if they move to a league that doesn't have promotion and relegation, they're screwed.

Not really. They seems to be well run. Most folks were surprised they didn't get in.

Have they actually played a game yet? I hate to judge how well people are actually run (though you can get some clues on how they appear to be run beforehand) before they have more time in.

I know it's too early to predict, but I really like Sandy Springs' chances for the title.
