is this where we discuss Anthropogenic Global Warming and the highly uninformed people who argue that it's not real or not caused by human activity? Or is there another thread somewhere for that?

    Thank god, no.

I have no tolerance whatsoever for this. None. I think everyone holding this position and acting on it needs to be exiled; or we need to put North Dakota out of the U.S. and move them there. Or they and their children can be vaccinated.

Most of the people holding these stupid positions -- and unfortunately, most of the people who do give some credence to logic and get themselves and their family members vaccinated -- do not understand what vaccines are, what they accomplish, why we do it, etc. Most people seem to think that the purpose of getting a vaccine is (or "is claimed to be", if you're a denier) to protect yourself from a disease or set of diseases. That is only one aspect of it, and not even the most important. But because of this misconception, even people who do vaccinate themselves and their children think that it makes sense to leave it up to the individual. It doesn't.

    My kid is fully vaccinated.
However, there absolutely needs to be more research into adverse vaccine reactions and autoimmune triggers. My child had a bizarre reaction to vaccines that the doctors had never seen manifest itself in an infant. Of course, they immediately dismissed it as having to do with the vaccine, even though it literally started happening within 48 hours of a round of vaccines.
I believe in vaccines and herd immunity. I also believe that it's naive to think that all vaccines are without fault and affect everyone in the exact same way. We readily admit that virtually any drug can cause adverse reactions or even death, but refuse to believe that vaccinations could potentially cause the same things. That they're infallible because of the good that they do. That they could only possibly affect the immune system in a positive way.
I'm not suggesting we stop vaccinating. Merely that we need to admit they aren't without negatives for a certain subset of the population and lots more research needs to be done instead of dismissing reactions outright as being reported by "crazy anti-vaxxers".
When you're sitting with your screaming infant in the ER on Christmas with sky high fevers and strange welts bigger than silver dollars trying to get chest X-rays, having to get punch biopsies because the doctor has never seen anything like it, having that same doctor tell you he had to do extensive research to figure out why a 4 month old would get something that is usually seen in 60 year olds, this whole thing recurring for the next 6 months, and all doctors involved just shrug their shoulders and tell you they have no idea why your kid has this... Makes you wonder...as a parent. I would gather none of you or your children has had any problems with vaccines. Kudos to you, I'm happy you're all doing well. Just know that not everyone is as lucky. We were fortunate enough that our child's reactions did eventually stop. We did spread out his subsequent vaccines just enough so that he wasn't bombarded with half a dozen at one time. Does that make me crazy? Don't really care.

My two youngest have a genetic condition that effects the was they break down nutrients. After being given one of the combination vaccinations she began to have seizures which we will have to control, forever, with medication.

Of course everyone says it’s a coincidence.

I don’t think it should be forced on every person.

I don't know if this has been posted anywhere else yet....

Texas lawmaker says he's not worried about measles outbreak because of ‘antibiotics'

    https://www.usatoday.com/story/news...yyMCbSK1U964N5b8f6RhK4PXQg97QKatK80rcGYwDjTCc

Scientific illiteracy bites the butt of some Texan.

1st off, there is no cure (?)/ treatment for measles. And secondly, he knows the word "antibiotics" but doesn't know they kill bacteria, NOT viruses. But this may be way too much for this poor gentleman to understand.

In the FEMA camps we are setting up after the takeover, the detainees won't be forced to read the Communist Manifesto and the Little Red Book but they will be forced to take math and science.
