on monday, the workers started to pull up the roofconstruction of the new waldstadion. For the last 4 weeks they were setting up the whole thing down on the field, now they are pulling it up step by step form all sides...

Yesterday, (friday), the platform for the mediacube in the middle had allready reached a height of about 15-20 meters...

this roof is the biggest construction of its kind worldwide...

Not naughty, it's a refrain of the Hymne.

Well, it´s ONE part of the 1st verse in the "Lied der Deutschen".
The national anthym is the 3rd verse of this song.
It´s "Einigkeit und Recht und Freiheit".
    So it´s not the refrain.

The reason it is naughty is that the first verse of the hymn is, shall we say, not allowed by the international community and the pc in Germany.

I think it is time to think that whole thing over, though.

The Allianz Arena will be beautiful when bathed in red, and butt-ugly when the puke-blue of 1860 is displayed... :D

    Don't you mean gold?
Those new jerseys are going to look pretty stupid when Bayern lose the title to Werder again.

All 3 verses are the official hynme. That's the truth.

But officially played is only the third. PC and other stuff is dictate that.

    Deutsche Frauen, deutsche Treue,
    Deutscher Wein und deutscher Sang
    Sollen in der Welt behalten
    Ihren alten schönen Klang,
    Uns zu edler Tat begeistern
    Unser ganzes Leben lang -
    Deutsche Frauen, deutsche Treue,
    Deutscher Wein und deutscher Sang!
    Deutschland, Deutschland über alles,
    Über alles in der Welt!

Die offzielle Nationalhymne der Bundesrespublik Deutschland (3. Strophe):

I'm not a national socialist or in any way a war pig, I'm just German and a Football (Soccer) fan.

    @ Pile D

You are definitely wrong, I´m afraid.

It used to be like this until the reunification:
All 3 verses were the national anthem, but only the 3rd was sung.

Since August 1991 only the 3rd verse "Einigkeit und Recht und Freiheit" is our national anthem.

    source: wikipedia.de

Of course the verses 1-2 are not forbidden.

    This w.. are offshore.
For what you are afraid, for "Deutsche Frauen"
    Or for "Deutscher Wein"
Don`t understand this. The first 2 are the best.
And I sing this at every time when anthem the shalls. Only the first when the melody is running (with the 3rd).
Standing, not with a right arm. But standing.
And I still believing of intelligence in Germany. Searching, but difficult to find.

But I remember in a Asia Country (don't know) the Germany vs. ???? they played it in all 3. The reporter has no words and I think: wow this should be never ending.

The German Anthem, it's my favorite lovesong.
I knewed my wife when it plays, (not the first and second)
    But the 3rd.

I sing the first, and the girl came.

I don't. I am fine with the third verse as our anthem. Why should I praise a Germany from the Maas to the Memel and from the Etsch to the Belt? Seems a little bit outdated to me...

    Just facts.
But where exactly did I state anything about "Deutsche Frauen" or "Deutscher Wein"?

Fact: 3rd verse is our anthem.
What you like (Maas and Memel) I don´t give a toss...

Listen, my ancestors come from Pommerania and Danzig and I will never forget their and therefore my roots!

This has nothing at all to do with our national anthem being the 3rd verse!
