I don't trust the Spanish press but, then again, I also didn't trust the Italian press before the Vieira deal went down. I hope they're right though, as that would be an instantaneous perk to selling Paddy.
The news is now in the Marca, which it wasn't this morning. http://www.marca.com/edicion/noticia/0,2458,654198,00.html
Hope you're right, IORP. Being the cynical lawyer that I am.....I'll wait until Arsenal.com announces it before I get excited.
I love how Yakubu seems to be the benchmark that everyone uses to say whether [insert name here] should get a WP. Not bashing on anyone....I just think it's funny. Not saying that I would see a place for Yakubu at Arsenal....but I like watching him play....kind of a bull in a china shop mentality.
I have a bit of spanish. It looks like a "no" and it claims that the highest bid (20m) wasn't from Arsenal.
Interesting. This is great news. It shouldn't be long before the likes of BBC, skysports, and soccernet start reporting this. Unleash the Beast!
yeah i just looked us some stuff on sky sports message boards and it says that the a bid froam arsenal has not been accpted from him
Yeah BBC is now reporting that a 20 mil offer (same as what we're getting for Viera) has been rejected.
http://soccernet.espn.go.com/headlinenews?id=337087&cc=4716 At least it's nice to know that the bid hasn't died yet, we are still interested in buying, Sevile is still interested in selling and there is still hope The Beast will be with us next season.
Del Nido knows that Baptista to Arsenal is all but done and now he's just trying to squeeze every last cent out of us, I say 15.5m or so and this is a done deal...curious to see how high AW and Dein will take their bid.
I don't think that we are going to bid much higher, if we do at all. Remember, Seville have to sell this guy. Surely they don't expect someone else to offer more than what we have.
