When a player says the "ask the coach" like Suarez did, its over. Valverde cried in front of the team when he left them. People thought he was detached and cold and maybe lacked enthusiasm, but it's fair to say that he brought a lot more to the table than anybody assumed. These jobs bring a hell of a lot of pressure.
Anyone have a stat of who's played the most minutes in la liga this year since the restart? Must be Messi. He walks half of the time though so maybe that's why he can do it.
Also, rotten as their form may be, Barcelona can and should win any of the last four with or without Messi starting. Never thought the "he'll burn out" argument mattered. He'd play in the games where he's certainly needed and rest, if at all, where he shouldn't be needed. On paper, a manageable situation.
Exactly this you can manage a mid table team and take them to top 4 but can you manage a big club like Barcelona or Real Madrid, where there is more pressure and politics come in to play.
Thanks, it was already past midnight here when I made that post though hahaha But yeah, now it feels better to say, can't wait for tomorrow!
We win our next two and this thing is over. I honestly think we will and I expect to see better performances than our last couple of games.
Bruno Fernandes and Paul Pogba have spent 219 minutes on the field together. In that time, Man United have scored eight goals and conceded none. pic.twitter.com/1UJcnRAUH1— ESPN FC (@ESPNFC) July 1, 2020 In my view, Pogba in particular has been playing at a world class level since the return. I think Pogba benefits from having a player like Bruno above him who can handle service in tight spaces. Pogba has been giving Bruno loads of service.
I like women's national team football like I used to like men's national team football and I like a couple clubs like Lyon but overall club women's soccer isn't very good right now. Hopefully we can help change that.
Guy scores almost 40 goals last year as a midfielder (that’s a record I believe), half of them being wonder strikes and you barely hear shit about the guy. Insane.
I don't like women's football. That's an opinion that anyone should be allowed to have but if you dare say it out loud, you're a sexist pig. Same way I dislike male gymnastics but that's alright, no minority attack there. I hope the women hired to play for RM do a good job and we make a profit out of it. And I hope the sport develops more and one day there won't be 56-0 results like I've seen around. Until then, I'm not touching it haha.
Women's football would benefit greatly from smaller fields and goals. Maybe even a little bit lighter ball.
Villarreal is one of the hottest teams in La Liga since the return. They still have to play Barca and Madrid, but they’re right in the thick of the champions league race. Up 2-0 on Betis right now, they will only be 3 points behind Sevilla for 4th.
