Klopp is that fake humble guy that slides out the "you know who i am?" as soon as he's in trouble. Didn't like him since he was at Mainz.
Klopp should stop being a sore loser all the time. Imagine how hard it must have been for Atlético players and staff during those times then. As many knows, Klopp plays the nice guy only when he wins. Otherwise an annoying narcissist.
Real Madrid will not force it's players and other employees to take a pay cut because the club is in a very stable state financially and is ready to face such circumstances without any problems. Pool fans are hoping PL will resume and CL will be cancelled for the season. Clowns claim that would still make them defending champions. More like defeated champions. [emoji23]
This is so awesome, I have many gripes with Flo but to hear this truly speaks volumes about his management of the club. Crisis hits, markets are melting down and the club is sitting on cash reserves.
Sports is entertainment which is why athletes get paid as much as they do. I can understand from a personal perspective why you wouldn’t want a camera in the coaches office when you go in but that’s the price of celebrity and fame and mega bucks I guess, sometimes you lose your privacy. Players benefit from hard knocks too. Raise their profile get noticed by people inside and outside the game. Even get chances with other teams. At the same time it must be a huge distraction.
Klopp losing his shit[emoji1787] The stuff of nightmares for Reds fans 😱— GOAL News (@GoalNews) March 29, 2020
Most pathetic set of people in the world right now. Everybody is worried for their parents and people close to them and Liverpool only worry about a Premier league title. Completely out of touch buffoons.
Really? Because they're currently whining about having to play the Atleti return leg. AT HOME. In front of THEIR FANS.
Anyway, Liverpool has some kind of curse. They just can't win the Preimership. In the end, they will give it to them, but their season won't be completed. Oh... I just googled on "Liverpool FC's curse". https://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/f...d-curse-Liverpool-winning-Premier-League.html
Xavi wants to return to Barcelona as coach. He would want Neymar, Jadon Sancho or Serge Gnabry there with him if he did 👀 pic.twitter.com/n38nudBsZW— B/R Football (@brfootball) March 29, 2020
The entertainment aspect of sports isn't the personal lives or the off-field life or backdoor decision makings. That is just another way the media and society has demanded more and more being this insatiable creature that is never satisfied due to lack of attention span and need for endless "content". The fact you think players benefit from that exposure says everything. The only way they could is narcissistic. Every personnel office already has information on players they don't need some hit job show to "give exposure". This is not the price of celebrity and fame; it's the price of social media which has turned us all into these microwave mind narcissist.
No arguing any point But wasn't hard knocks a thing even before social media was a big part of our lives?
Yeah, but it wasn't as sensationalized back then. The need for drama is what drove the show to turn from a documentary to a dramatic entertainment exposé. Getting released is one of the hardest things to deal with. I can't completely describe the feeling and at one point I was suicidal due to that feeling of being discarded and without purpose. To televise this isn't a help to these people it is harm. It's like someone justifying why they should record your reactions to being dressed down by management or fired to use as a "resource" for future employees.
I don't believe this until i see an official announcement. I trust Florentino but our club has a lot of expenses that i don't think it's feasible to not have at least a 10-20% wage cut for our players. Staff and other employees on the other hand will hopefully receive 100% of their wages.
I think this is harsh. There is such a thing as marketing and branding for players that goes beyond their quality on a scouting report. Just like there are plenty of highly qualified people capable of being president or prime minister, yet never reach the office due to lack of name recognition or popularity. Exposure and marketing absolutely can help a players career trajectory. That’s not narcissistic to say
I never argued against the general idea of marketing and branding bettering players. I argued against this specific show being a foundation of this for players.
If i remember correctly club has substantial cash reserves. I think we have enough liquidity to ride this thing out. Barca on the other hand. Well they fcked.
I doubt anyone here is surprised. I remember how surprised we were with all of Barca's post Neymar signings with large salaries and the graphics showing 90%? of the club's budget going for them. It doesn't look like a stable financial condition. Maybe they were expecting the growth of revenue to continue and disregard any slowdown in the coming years, even more such global crisis.
