I can honestly say that over the last 10 years, this may have been the game I most wish I hadn't missed... ARSENAL!!! ARSENAL!!! ARSENAL!!!
Per Sky, Odegaard had more sprints (20) than any other Arsenal player and ran nearly a kilometer further than any other Arsenal player. Looks like he’d be a bargain at twice the price.
When was this? There was one late in the first half where Laca went to chase down a ball and Wolves CB clearly grabbed him to impede him, keeper collects and the commentary says something daft like "oh nothing in that because Laca wasn't getting to the ball." Its almost like he can't get to the ball since he was being held.
Someone noted that recently he has been a bit too predictable with cut backs on the right side, but whats working is starting him on the right and seeing how it works for him, and pushing him to the left late in matches for overlap runs and crosses etc.
In real time, I thought for sure it was a pen. But based on the replays the Cock showed, eh, I dunno. It was hard to tell.
That’s one of those things that appears to be a weird new VAR-influenced policy, though. They showed 2 replay angles, 1 time each at full speed, and never went back to either of them. I’ve watched it several times now and I don’t see how you dismiss it so quickly, at the very least, and even more how it isn’t at least a talking point after the fact.
I don’t know the last time Arsenal wins a match like that. Just incredible to watch. I am starting to believe. Arteta really got them believing in themselves.
row Z is rooting for partey to take it. holy ********, how much easier is it to make jokes when we take the game, let alone in this manner.
i didn't see whole match - only highlights - but saw quite a few where he had the ball in tight spaces and was able to retain. that's great to see.
Is that the first time we have won a match under Arteta coming back from a goal down early? Commentators had a stat saying Wolves haven't lost either after going ahead early or maybe it was going ahead in the first half. I can't remember the last time we went into HT down 1-0 and won the match. Someone on another forum shared this;
He's versatile enough that he can move right or left anytime depending on matchups and tactics. I'm sure Mikel loves it.
Same with ESR and Martinelli. Makes it a lot harder to man-mark an attacker if they can just ******** off to the other wing every so often.

Think there was some serious drunk-scrolling this evening me thinks. Based on the number of likes my posts got while I was gone.
Sorry you missed it mate. It was one of the best, but not THE best I think. There were tons of positives (which have all been discussed above) but also quite a bit of frustration for the majority of the match because of our impotence. Still I was quite relieved we equalized late, and was writing a moderately complimentary match report, when BOOM! Pepe & Laca conspired for that shock winner!! And Sa.

I'm guessing you're using the royal "you" here as far as "dismiss[ing] it." . But yeah, that was sort of my point --- that we never really saw a good replay.
Other than his shooting (yeah, I know), Partey was fantastic yesterday. Driving forward at almost every chance, rarely losing the ball.
A player of his skillset able to link, and be clinical in the box indeed would take them to another level.
