ESR just needs to crack the shit out of these chances he gets seemingly every game. Stop trying to place them!

A bit harsh me thinks. That shot would be a goal 8 out of 10 times?

    FT ARS 4-1 NEW

Game was basically decided by how we started it. Fast and furious. Built a quick lead. Didn't give them any O2 in 1T.

Then in 2T we still managed to keep them at bay, while adding 2 more goals. Et Voila!

Sad we gave up the clean sheet near the end. But lots of pluses in my book, all around the pitch. MOTM for Jorginho... well deserved.

And a BIG statement after a really deflating midweek defeat in Europe.

    Onward... to Sheffield :D

ESR been really unlucky this year. In his limited minutes he has had atleast 3-4 really good chances and each has caught a deflection, late defender or an excellent save.

Me likey. That'll inspire the afternoon's workout, and hopefully get the lads back on track mentally. Well done, Arsenal. Well done.

Excellent performance, dominant in the midfield. Bigup Jorginho, MOTM. Rice playing further up, excellent as well. Martinelli very very good. Havertz movement excellent. Top top top by Saka as well, Odegaard probing per usual. Raya as well, Defense superb, bigup the mandem in the back 4. Kivior, deserved that goal. On to the next.

One thing I was going to mention earlier towards the end of the match…

The camera showed Ramsdale, Jorginho, and Martinelli(?) yucking it up on the bench.

In particular, I thought it was great to see Aaron looking so happy, as a teammate who doesn’t get to play anymore and whose #1 role was taken from him.

He seems to be just a really good guy, and a very good keeper, so I hope he gets to play somewhere next season. Apparently and sadly that won’t be with us.

After today’s match, seeing stats going around we are the first team in the history of the Prem to score 2 or more goals in seven consecutive halves.

If accurate - long may this streak continue

And if I heard this correctly…

Saka is the first player since Ian Wright in 1994(?) to score in 5 consecutive league matches.

Starboy is back on the boil!

Accidentally put this in the Porto thread, so let me just reiterate here: Havertz is awesome. He gets through so much work in every match. I think he’s one of my favorite players now.
