Ashburton Grove will host the rarest of things, a Saturday afternoon kickoff, at 3pm GMT/10am EST/5am HST. Peacock will present the live pictures in the States. Results around the league have been amazingly kind to Arsenal lately. We have to take advantage. Time to exact a little revenge for opening day. Up the Arsenal.
Need to absolutely put these pricks to the sword especially for that goal where Leno was being grappled and VAR told us that was ok.
From Arteta's presser, only 2 pieces of team news: * Tommy should be in the squad (but sounds iffy to start) * Leno should also be on the bench, having finally recovered from Covid If Tomiyasu doesn't start, perhaps there's an interesting decision: continue with Cedric, or move White out wide and give Holding another go at CB, after his good stint there last time? Clive Palmer is touting the latter, but I'd guess Mikel sticks w/ Cedric. I also noted that KT, like Tommy, did not show up in the training session pics, so hopefully that's just giving him some needed rest. OTOH, Partey was pictured prominently, as were our expected front 4 of ESR, MO, Saka, Laca. We should have more than enough motivation to get all 3 points. Not just the revenge factor but the fact that Spurs are odds-on to drop points vs Citeh.
Hey guys, to kill some time until our match at 7:00 am, and also of note, West Ham are hosting Newcastle right about now, and I know it's been WEEKS since I last was tuned to in to pretty much anything let alone the EPL, but I'd never thought I'd ever see Eddie Howe managing anybody but Bournemouth, it looks like Rafa Benitez's run Tyneside has run its course. Newcastle are currently 17th and look to put some space between them and relegation (Watford, Norwich, and Burnley), so GO TOON ARMY!!! We'll do OUR job at home to The Bees but we know that we are gonna need some help if we're gonna contend for a Champions League spot for next season, as we DO have THREE GAMES IN HAND (all previously postponed and TBC due to COVID), including the Derby away to Shit on the bill as well. COYF'n'G!!!
Hey man. Good to see you're still hangin in there! And up crazy early!!! Hope you still have access to Peacock to see our young team sting the Bees. p.s. Rafa has not only wandered away from the Tyne, he's failed at the blue banks of the Mersey, and in between was bounty hunting on some Chinese river.
SO far away from the days when he was on the red side of Mersey, where he guided a then young Steven Gerrard to a European Cup in 2004-05, if he can't manage anywhere but China (or in MLS) then that's a sign that he's about done. The same thing also happened with former Bayern and Wolfsburg manager Felix Magath, I wonder where HE is right about now. Fall from grace indeed.
If any of you have been wondering WTF I've been over the past 4 months, I had Hulu + Live TV put on pause as I was low on $$$ (having to rely on payday loans to pay off some debts) but since I was up early (by chance) I decided that since Hulu was taken off of its 120-day-long pause I had that expired that I might as well watch something as I am paying $80.00/month for it and have Peacock as well so that's why I'm here. As for the match over in West London right now as it stands it's 1-1 and we can gain 2 points on them with a home win as we SHOULD be able to, but Brentford (like The Bees that they are), have been pretty much a pest to anyone who faces them this season. We'll see how they do NEXT YEAR. Remember when Sheffield United were in the top half of the League their first season and then dead last (and relegated) the following year??? So the jury's still a little bit out on them, but yes we need this win and also to exact some revenge for our opening night defeat to them back in August, so COYF'n'G!!!
Tomi on the bench but not yet fit enough to start. ESR in for the suspended Martinelli. 🚨 TEAM NEWS!🇵🇹 Cedric starts 💪 Xhaka and Partey in midfield 🔥 Saka x Smith Rowe#ARSBRE— Arsenal (@Arsenal) February 19, 2022
I also took up my 4 Atari systems (yes I STILL play Atari) and also got hardcore into darts (England/Europe's OTHER pasttime) as well, thanks to watching Phil "The Power" Taylor (the GOAT) and trying to get into the PDC (Professional Darts Corporation, the PGA Tour of darts) and will soon be back into watching the PBA (bowling) Tour as well as hit the lanes for weekly practice starting next week (or when I get caught up on my bills), and, yes I AM keeping up on all 4 of this season's kit's having all 3 outfield kits and have my GK jersey (short-sleeved) coming in next month from eBay out of Singapore (they were the only spot to get the short-sleeved one I wanted).
West Ham draw 1-1 at home to Newcastle we have a chance to gain 2 points on them, I'll be watching in a half-hour.
West Ham’s Top 4 hopes are toast, they have the most difficult remaining schedule of the teams vying for Top 4. In their remaining 12 games they play City, Liverpool, Chelsea, Arsenal, Sp*rs, and Wolves.
Exactly as I expected. COYG!!!! I’m doing it a little differently this time, as I’m on my watt bike. Hope the boys work at least as hard as I do over the next hour and a half.
Wow the commentary for my feed constantly asking how Brentford beat us opening game of the season, no mention of missing players with covid, no mention of the goal where Leno was held and should have been overturned by VAR, not surprising that they have to find a way to pump up Brentford but they act as if there wasn't exceptional circumstances.
3 screwjobs in the same sequence, the two fouls that could've been penalties and then the goal called back on the offside, SHIT!
How much longer can Raya time waste before he gets a ********ing yellow card. Every. Single. Goalkick. ******** me the refs are incompetent.
Honestly we need to encourage our fans to be hostile towards officials if they are going to come to matches with the deliberate intent of basically dogging our players. Timewasting. Countless shit tackles. I am all for protecting referees at lower levels. But in the EPL? Nah, ******** them. Completely bent and I wouldn't be upset if they all got sacked.
