I'm nothing if not a sunny optimist. Comes with being an Arsenal fan.

0-0 at half. Seems like Grait Xhaka has been not good. To me, it looks like Arsenal is going to grab a goal. pretty good movement up front.

Appreciate the updates while stuck at work. I am not looking forward to Torreira being sold in the summer, but it doesnt look good for him at the moment.

Whoa Betty... hold on to your hats. By my calculation we're now down about 13% since last peak. Yikes.

COME ON ARSENAL, put a smile on our faces!!!!

49' Pepe beautifully turns 2 men on the wing, gets to the byline, only to scuff his pullback pass. Dangerous but a bit ragged.

53' corner to Olympiakos and you just had a hunch...

sure enough... 1-0 to them. :(

Yet another goal conceded on a set piece. (not sure who exactly is to blame on our side... later)

Edit: after watching it back much later, I'd say it was mainly a good run by Cisse to win the header, but if I had to fault our defenders, I would ask Mustafi why he got pulled to the near post along with 2 other teammates, just to challenge one guy? Luiz was rooted in the middle, but I guess that was correct zonally?

56' Leno comes out to make a vital tackle on an onrushing attacker.. bangs up his hip(?) in the process, but plays on.

57' Leno comes up witha brilliant save while Mustafi backs off and gives them a decent look and shot from distance.

    Ugh.

59' Xhaka shoots hard and wide from outside the box. His specialty. Served up by Bellerin who did some credible ball-holding on a move inside.

60' Laca takes a hard tackle, which coulda been a yellow for their guy.

61' Auba takes an optimistic shot from left wing, but curls safely into the keeper's hands.

67' Best thing that's happened in the last minute is that we earned 2 corners. Things are not great.

Torreira about to come on. For Dani?

72' Another corner earned after a pretty thruball by Ozil to Bellerin. But nothing comes of the corner kick.

    LT replaces DC

And this is an allegedly strong lineup.

70th minute, still 1-0 Olymp. Olymp bunkering and countering like mad. They look dangerous.

75' crazy crazy improv slaloming by Pepe just inside the box. Then another corner that comes to nothing. Again.

77' two shots on goal in the last 10 seconds. First from Pepe, well saved by the keeper. Then by Laca on the rebound and he heads just wide.

    We're getting closer! COME ON!

80' Xhaka is alone at the 25 yard line. Crowd yells "SHOOOOOOT". And guess what happens?

81' Laca pounces on a loose ball on the edge of area and skies it high and wide right.

Willock about to come on (For Ozil??)

Xhaka has another bad idea and puts a shot ten yards over the crossbar. He is not doing well today

83' Torreira forces their keeper into a very good save. That looked very promising. Feeling a little more positive now.

84' Willock on for Bellerin!... hmm. (going w/ 3 at back I guess)

Edit: And AMN remains trapped deeply in the doghouse?

87' dangerous possession for Olympiakos, only to be ended by another good block by Mustafi.

    2 minutes of added time.

2 minutes to avoid extra time.

But first we have to defend a corner... done. Phew.

    COME ON!
