Prem site says coming into this match Luiz had 1 own goal and 4 goals conceded resulting from his errors. Honestly felt like it should have been more. But he adds 2 more today, so there's that.

Garcia? Wow that was a scary looking collision to his head. I hope he’ll be OK. At least he’s conscious it seems.

If he's registered, I think he should be eligible? Only issue would be the international component, I think, but I assume they could figure that out.

    He's on that list, anyway.

Ederson charging out for a loose ball, punched away and free safety tackled his own CB. Huge collision.

Just saw the replay - looked completely reckless. Too bad you can't be given a red for pole-axing your teammate.

Seems like no (as we concede #3), because him returning from loan requires a "return transfer" to be processed, which can't happen until the English transfer window opens.

Besides the horrific Arsenal display, that was one of the weirdest things I've watched live ever

I legitimately think Frimpong had better tekkers and passing range than Willock

And he was a holding midfielder, not a 10

Arsenal are left with Sokrates, Holding and Mustafi for the weekend. I’d be inclined to let Luiz, Sokratis, and Mustfi go, but they would have to go out and get a quality center back. In addition, I’m not yet convinced by Mari.

Arteta saying Ozil not being in the squad was a "tactical decision." Bruh, you're playing Willock at 10, Auba at left wing and Nketiah up top, not sure I have faith in your tactical decisions at this point

He’s 19. No way he can become home grown.

And he can’t play for Arsenal in the ‘2019/2020’ season.

I think he wanted to press and for the first 15 minutes they did a credible job, but without the positional discipline that a team like City have, because they have been doing it one way all year, pressing at the restart of the season is going to exhaust your players and eventually they will lose shape. Which is exactly what happened. While I also question the same tactical decisions you have questioned, it is worth noting that even though City were dominating possession, without Luiz’ contribution Arsenal might have actually come away from the game with a point.

Couldn't use the excuse that Ozil is "sick" like they usually do for road matches because everyone would assume he has COVID.

Getting smacked away at the best team in the league after a long layoff, a couple of injuries, and David Luiz isn’t the end of the world.

Early on in the match I had a few brief thoughts like that. But when you get outshot 19-3 and 12-0 you generally don’t get results.

We’re pretty lucky this didn’t end 5-0 or worse. Without Leno in good form it woulda.

He turned 19 in March. Was 18 when we bought him and was registered with the team (trained with us a couple times during international breaks before he got hurt). So this past season counts as season 1. He will get almost 2 full seasons with us before he turns 21. If I am not mistaken the rule is that they must be 3 yrs on the books at the start of the first season after they turn 21. He will be 21 in March of 2022. The first season after his 21st B-day is the 22/23 season in which will be his 4th on the books for us making him HG.

They also played down a man for a long time, which contributed to the lop sided shot totals.

FWIW, that's how it works on Football Manager. As long as a player signs before his 19th birthday, he gets homegrown status. Going on loan outside the country has no impact.
