The power of good branding! How a semi-pro soccer team with a Sasquatch logo arose from a college program shuttered by COVID-19 In less than a month since its announcement, his new club has sold $24,000 in merchandise online without spending a dollar on marketing. (It probably helps to have Sasquatch in its logo.) It has sold almost 100 season tickets during a pandemic and, again, without any advertising — halfway toward Hitchcock’s goal for the first season. Sponsors have already signed up.
NJ Teamsterz FC New Crest & Spelling Unveiled The new look of "Z" on the crest and changed spelling to represent the metro-suburban environment of Bayonne, a peninsula city along the New York City Harbor and the club's deliberate campaign to attract Generation Z to U.S. soccer.
Horrible name and Horrible logo made worse. It reminds me of all of the 90s teams using an X instead of "cks."

From Reddit: Who is designing MLS logos? Not sure why any team wouldn't hire Matthew Wolff... https://matthewwolff.com/portfolio/logos/
Doubleday and Cartwright have a solid history. The Fire Crown is by far their biggest whiff, but I'm guessing that was the previous ownership and management's call, not the design team. Miami and Charlotte are good, but not exceptional. Most of the unboxed logos range from good to great. the current DC logo is a logical evolution/modernization of their original logo. Montreal is a bit too busy; I am terrified of the rebrand watering things down significantly. I am still not sold on the current Quakes logo. Seeing it next to KC makes it look like a weaker flipped version of the same crest. Minnesota can never get enough love for that crest. While technically "in house," RBNY is a corporate logo shared by most of their clubs. It's still a good logo. FC Dallas is fairly great. Columbus and StL aren't terrible, but they aren't great. The other In house box runs the gamut, doesn't it? Revs is terrible, but iconic. If they ever redesign, the crayon flag has to be incorporated somehow. Philly, Colorado, and Seattle are outstanding. RSL and Vancouver are good. I'm still not sure how I feel about Nashville. The new Houston logo is hot trash. The shape is nice, but the rest of the logo is on par with the Fire crown. Now if we could just get back to having more teams with unique kit design elements (stripes, sashes, hoops, bars, gradients, harlequins, etc), that would be great. I, for one, am excited that Wolff is fixing the Fire logo. NYC and LAFC (not to mention his other crests) are two of the best in the league.
I don’t hate the FC Dallas logo but wish they’d based it in their first (Dallas Burn) mascot Islamico which was a big black horse. Just switch bull for horse and voila! That horse was quite impressive and similar to the ones the black riders road in LOTR. Lots of teams use bulls but how many could base on an actual horse in hat roamed their field (oh and don’t try and link it with the old Burn logo lightning flying horse). https://www.mlssoccer.com/post/2020...tory-islamico-mlss-largest-live-animal-mascot
Terrible decision to lose the decades of history that the Montreal Impact name has... They should have kept their name and updated their current crest (center the fleur-de-lis, get rid of the gradients, make the small print like "Impact" readable)...
I knew I have seen that new Montreal Impact logo somewhere else... #IMFC pic.twitter.com/ctIKZVsc5N— Manuel Veth (@ManuelVeth) January 14, 2021 I knew I have seen that new Montreal Impact logo somewhere else... Oh wow. Looks like someone failed to do some homework. Or they paid Bloomington for the rights to a decent city logo/horrible soccer crest.
Good news, one of the better brands in MLS apparently isn't going anywhere Miami Herald: Inter Miami “not in jeopardy” of changing name, logo in legal feud with Inter Milan
The @ChicagoFire's rebrand fell flat, very flat, so now they're attempting what they believe is "one of the most open, transparent collaborative identity projects in pro sports history." My conversation with @kylesheldon, point person for the re-rebrand:https://t.co/TPmECpiPC2— Charles Boehm (@cboehm) January 27, 2021 Can design by committee ever work? I guess we're about to find out...
https://www.wondosoccer.com/ Why does Wondo get a better crest than the Quakes that doesn't seem fair.....
Eeehhh... The concept is definitely cool, but when the thread loaded for me, I thought the screen was taking a moment to render the image properly. It looks like someone stretched it vertically about 40% more than they should have.
Wondo is Kiowa... it looks vertically stretched because it's in the shape of an arrowhead. The W and 8 are easier to see in this version:
