Argentina launched a co-bid with Uruguay, Paraguay and Chile for the 2030 WC.

Home teams almost always over-perform in a home WC, so . . . yeah!!

No idea what FIFA will decide but it's kind of now or never for South America. Okay, maybe not that literally. But it's obvious we can't compete in infraestructure, money, etc. So the special date being a 100 year conmemoration is our best hope. Just have to convince FIFA to go for sentimentality over money. Hmmm.

And on another note, I just can't believe they really went with the CHUPAR nickname. That's a meme already.

Wow, they did it! Al Hilal took out Flamengo

I really thought Fla had a good chance to beat RM this year, but alas they’ll have to continue waiting for their chance to win the CWC.

Interesting year for the Saudi’s.. Al Hilal’s side composed the majority of the Saudi NT side that beat us at the WC. I think I had read that 9 of the starters played for them or something.. good work from Ramon Diaz ;)

Imo, it should be now. We have the narrative, the 100 year conmemoration, the current world champion, the fans and the atmosphere like no other, the other bids arent very appealing, and, yeah, we might lack uefa infrastructure or money for bribe, but we deserve it just for being the best futbol nation and giving so much to futbol around the world.

the chupar thing i thought was a joke, lol :ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO:, i cant believe its real:ninja:

Well that shitty team , reached SF only because of home ground advantages. They had such an overrated team in 2014.

Also, quote me on this, but if we get the wc2030 bid....

    QUIERO GANAR LA QUINTA
    QUIERO SER CAMPEÓN MUNDIAL
    Y AL DIEGO...
DESDE EL CIELO LO PODEMOS VER....

Diego Cocca appears to be set to replace Tata as Mexico’s coach

He just resigned from Tigres, where he had barely signed at the beginning of the year and was doing quite a good job

The Brazucas are apparently willing to wait for Ancelotti. Imagine being so desperate that you have to look for a foreigner to manage your side. Tsk tsk tsk. How the mighty have fallen.

Gallardo turned down an offer from Ajax earlier this week, and now he has snubbed Leeds United, who reportedly had him as their top target.

One of the reasons he allegedly said no to Leeds is because he prefers to not takeover a club midseason.

Or maybe he’s just waiting for a bigger offer… maybe Real Madrid in July when Ancelotti leaves? :sneaky:

Cry7 shows his true color in interview with his step dad, he criticized his own teammates and everyone but him. Even Toni Kroos blatantly said after our victory that Messi is the best but he just couldnt say it when Cry7 was around back then.

Ramos should have mentioned Di Maria instead of that jackfruit head though.

FIFA is analyzing modifying the offside rule to allow a player to be in a legal/onside position if any part of their body is on the same line as the last defender.

Would be great. So sick of these fractional offsides being called because the hair on the forward’s knee was offside.

Such a change would promote better football and allow quick players to exploit their velocity in counters, as they should. Get it done, FIFA!

Halland 5 goals ties Messi, and some other brazillian dude for most goals in the CL.
Halland also the 30 goals in the CL, the fastest at 22 years beating Mbappe's record.

Inter reach QF for first time in 12 years. The match ended with Pepe sent off which is as satisfying as late winner.

The change in the guard will begin next year I believe. Messi's dominance will start to wither, I don't think he'll be winning the premiere individual trophies anymore (after the 8th balon d`or). Unless he surprises me and has a year like Benzema at club level. He's still Moderic, Benzema age space, and not in CR7 age space. Messi has a good two more years to do something at club level.

If messi really wanted to, he would drop his asking rate by a lot, go play at a top level club and go hard. With his attitude now towards family and only the Albiceleste, I think the club achievements are done.

After his 8th Ballon and treble with Argentina, he definetely doesnt care about ballon, golden boots etc. You could see how he's conserving energy last season at PSG just so he can reach the WC at peak condition, which he did.

After the WC win + another golden ball , he could just retire tomorrow and there would be no debate about GOAT thing as he has completed football.

From this point, everything that he does would be just trolling the future great players. Imagine him winning league title but not CL, but if he wins another CA, then he'd still be contending for another Ballon. I'd love to see those haters face when that happen.
