True, true.. for some reason I was remembering 2006 as their last final.

Either way, still glad they advanced over Spain. Much more deserving finalist imo.

I also feel they'll give England more of a game, hopefully

So, England get to their first final in 55 years thanks to a blatant dive by Sterling. No doubt the English media and pundits will spend the next 30 years talking about this blatant act 9f cheating, oh no, what's that I hear, the sound of silence.

When their own players cheat the English pundits and media find it very amusing and say 'so what' when it is a foreign player, they go mad, hypocrites.

It was a very VERY soft call. But let's be honest, the English were much better than Denmark.

The English had 21 shots (10 on goal) but Denmark only managed 6 shots (3 on goal). I know that you don't win on effort, but I hate teams that park the bus. Soccer, like any other sport, is a product to be consumed by spectators. And if the product doesn't entertain, its a bore - and unimaginable difficult chore to watch. So let's now make excuses and don't try to reward the team that parked.

It's nothing to do with the match and I don't give a toss how many shots England had. It's about the rank hypocrisy of the English media and pundits who only last week were screaming in horror at the cheating, diving Italians, who still bang on about the Hand of God, yet when their own players dive thry either turn a blind eye to it or simply proclaim 'so what'.

Wait.... wtf? Qatar is playing Gold Cup??

Didn’t they pull out of CA because of the the pandemic (thus ruining the whole group stage), but they can play this tournament a few weeks later?

Luis Diaz..... what a player man

I wish D’Onofrio would have listened to Gallardo when he vehemently demanded him as Pity Martinez’s replacement back in 2018. The guy would have been unstoppable within el muñeco’s system

    Colombia 2-2 Peru

Peru header off of a corner. 82’

Will we see a late winner, or a shootout?

Lol... at least we go after the good ones, not like Boca who tries to copy our formula and buys the third-rate guys like Cardona, Campuzano and Fabra :D

On the real though, Gallardo insisted so much on bringing Luis Diaz to replace Pity. It’s not like he was 1 of 20 options... he pretty much told D’Onofrio at the time “it’s either Luis Diaz or no one.. don’t bother bringing in a cheaper alternative”

Years later the guy is tearing Copa America up and attracting interest from big European clubs.. his speed/technique is fantastic, great player

From Peru I was impressed by Lapadula... obviously he’s not an elite player by any means, but I didn’t have him down prior to the Copa. He has pretty much been Peru’s best everytime I’ve watched them play.

I’m surprised it took them so long to call him up.. I was just reading his wikipedia page and it seems he was actually called up for the Italian NT during the 2018 WCQ process

Me and @locoxriver discuss this time to time and it is quite true. I took from the Colombia’s forum.

Lol @ Neymar complaining on IG about CONMEBOL and Gabriel Jesus’s suspension:

"Muy triste estar en las manos de personas que toman esas decisiones. Bello análisis que hicieron de la jugada. Hay que felicitarlos". Esas fueron las palabras de Neymar tras confirmarse la suspensión de dos partidos para su compañero, Gabriel Jesús, por haberle propinado un terrible planchazo casi en la cara a Eugenio Mena en el duelo entre Brasil y Chile, por los cuartos de final de la Copa América.

Instead of complaining about the sanction, why don’t you address how careless your teammate was to commit such a violent and unnecessary foul. I swear he’d be going after heads if that foul had been on him.

Idk what he’s going on about: the 2 match suspension made complete sense. You don’t just reduce a sanction because a final is coming up. Plus, those people “making decisions” are the same ones always helping you out, if you’ve forgotten

A controversial millimetric VAR offside call retracted Rogelio Funes Mori’s injury time goal, which would have given Mexico a win in their Gold Cup debut.

Whoever wins tonight between England v Italy, I hope some type of match between the winner and ourselves could be put together.
