Just before we went out for dinner. Classic pic of Ken I think. Glad you got home in one piece. Would you believe the trip's car curse struck again last night? My car battery warning light came on about 50 miles from home. Just carried on driving and will get it checked out tomorrow so no biggie but ffs!
Oh and Rog, if you're reading this, the headtorch was used every night in the bush to satisfy all our appetites. Ken, the guy with the sideburns, was our head chef and used my gadget on a variety of meats to the delight of one and all.
The lion clearly saw that stick and knew you meant business!!! Seriously, how freaking awesome was that? And did you really feel safer with that stick?
Oh don't worry, that stick wasn't my only protection. If they got too frisky I also said "no" in a very firm voice. Decided that it might not work on these ones though particularly as they'd recently reduced a hippo to this
Wow. What a trip! Welcome back all! A good friend of mine just got a promotion to work in Africa and claims he wants me to come over and do some planning projects with him....ready to go back Jud'?
Don't know yet Judy but I'm pretty sure we'll be close enough to a place that serves something like this....
There has to be a Red Agave / Lions-Chelsea joke in there somewhere but damned if I can come up with it. Rick- a question.... I saw an article on BBC television this morning about the astounding inflation rate in Zimbabwe and I believe the President was in London lobbying for economic help...is the infrastructure in serious trouble? And if so, what then? These pictures have convinced me more than ever that I need to get there, by the way.
C'mon Rick, when ya gonna get Moyra an Arsenal shirt? or will she get a ring before she gets let in to that realm?
Hey guys, had some trouble getting my photo's up but have finally done it. I spent ages doing captions and then lost them all so couldnt be bothered to do it all again!! Here they are!! Zimbabwe, Botswana and Zambia
