Congrats to Takigawa. Actually I wanted to see what would it be if Kumiyama made it 4-4.

Btw, what is the song called during the half time break? Anyone knows?

HS Football is already back on TV. Teikyo and Yamanashi Gakuin are playing a pretty good game so far, 1-1.

On TV? Where did you see it? I even live in Yamanashi, and didnt see the game televised! Anyway, the 2010 national champions won the prefectural title for a third straight year, but they look a lot less impressive than they have for the past two seasons.

    http://www.yguppr.net/111105hsso_main.html

The class player in Yamanashi this year was Teikyo's Itagaki, who is probably going to end up signing with either FC Tokyo or S-Pulse, next January. I hear that Cesare's school is progressing towards the New Year's tournament as well. Anybody know where you can find a list of teams already qualified???

I quit teaching at Ritsumeikan Uji, but I am still in the soccer coaching staff.

Our final is tomorrow, against Fuchiyama Seibi, the team that unbelievably defeated us in the Interhai final, after an absurd 3-3 and PKs.

Watch my pupil Junki Taniguchi, very promising no-nonsense striker.

We did it, we're going back to zenkoku...

In the three years I was there, we won twice and lost a final 3-2 against Kumiyama, last year. (We had seven 2-nen-sei, and they made it ti the zenkoku final)

As often, despite being much better than the opposition, we won by one goal: the last three games were 2-1; 2-1; 1-0...

This is really taking a toll on my nervous system. ;)
I'll enjoy the game(s) at zenkoku, then honorably retire.

Anyway kudos to the boys, and to the head coach, Ryan. In a soccer civilized country, he would at least coach in J2.

I see Sanyo won in Hiroshima. As far as I can tell, they didn't even make the last 16 in Hiroshima last year, so they kinda came outta nowhere.

edit: first time Sanyo have won the Hiroshima series in 12 years. Also the first time in 12 years that neither Minami nor Kannon have won (Sanyo beat Kannon 3-1 in the Hiroshima final). It'll be interesting to see if they can make the most of it.

Use this list (winners on the left) and search for them on google. Then click on the wiki page (pretty much ever single school has one) and there you can find how to say the school name.

    Example:

    初芝橋本 (School)

    http://ja.wikipedia.org/wiki/%E5%88%9D%E8%8A%9D%E6%A9%8B%E6%9C%AC%E4%B8%AD%E5%AD%A6%E6%A0%A1%E3%83%BB%E9%AB%98%E7%AD%89%E5%AD%A6%E6%A0%A1 (wiki)

    はつしばはしもと (hiragana)

This is a link with a few profiles of "Players to Watch Out For".

    http://sportsnavi.yahoo.co.jp/soccer/hs/90th/data/player/pickup_fw.html

It looks like Miyaichi's younger brother (Who looks exactly like Ryo) is already a first-team striker in Grade 1.

Apparently the media is dubbing Shirosaki (Yamanashi Gakuin) as the No.1 player leading up to the tournament. Whatever happens to him, he'll most likely find it really difficult to get playing time at S-Pulse, since the club is stacked with strikers. Omae, Takagi, Ito, Takahara, Brosque, Higuchi...

I need a bit of help with the names. If someone feels like having time he can also translate the descriptions of the players (defence, midfield strikers, goalkeeprs)

    Need help with this one:
差波優人 name in romanji would be?
