The media is starting to talk about the huge drop in sports TV ratings. I seem to remember the same stories leading up to the 2016 election, after which they boomed.
It looks like Fox is trying to hike its prices on local cable stations when it's contracts run out on December 31. FS1, FS2 and Fox Soccer Plus may not be available from January 1st, 2021.
They need to get out of deals to consolidate and get rid of excess channels. Self sabotage. If they succeed you will likely see a new sports channel launch around Q2. Likely one channel to go with News and Business.
UniMas telecast of Juventus vs Barcelona drew 749,00 viewers, which network says is largest U.S. audience ever for UEFA Champions League group stage match, regardless of language on any network. Is it possible to answer the rating simply... Are US sports rating this year ... up ... or down... Are MLS ratings this year ... up... or down... Have MLS rating behaved similar to other sports...

There were a lot of games going on on Sunday. Not many people watch more MLS than they absolutely have to.
I found a MLS channel. Station #712 on Pluto TV. Currently showing a full replay of FCD vs. Minnesota Utd.
Marketing wise maybe MLS should be rallying its supporters to watch games on TV. If the league wants to make a great leap forward it needs to get TV networks excited.
Agreed. I also wish they could convince the MLS hating KSE group to allow the only fans they have left to watch them on television instead of keeping the Rapids broadcasts on their monopoly of a loser station they have kept off the air for the majority of us for what will be a year and a half soon. They could at least allow us to watch on ESPN+ but they are making it very certain they could care less about their fans and are in the process of permanently alienating us forever!!!! I’m getting to the point of wishing they would sell to an ownership group in Las Vegas where they can thrive instead of rotting here due to KSEs incompetence!!!
It's difficult to find the Yankees' YES network these days to watch NYCFC because of the dispute between Sinclair and er, everyone. Hopefully this will all be resolved as part of the new TV contract in 2022.
