It's not an easy thing to come foward with, she struggles doing so in the recording, I can see how she would back down with any mild pushback. The argument you make is the same many made for Bill Cosby.

With Trump as President, I really can't be bothered with these arguments. Anybody who cares about sexual violence will vote for Biden over Trump, because whatever Biden has (or has not) done, he will owe his election to female voters who care about such things. There will be no Brett Kavanaugh nominations under a Biden Presidency.

This argument is deeply disingenuous, just as the far right/far left argument against Al Franken was, although mainstream Dems (including me) didn't realize that at the time. Been fooled once, won't get fooled again.

    Yup.

Biden has effectively won the nomination. So Biden is running against Trump. And Biden will be a VASTLY superior president for women's rights than Trump will ever be. That, seriously, is all that matters to me.

Allegations from the Clinton era that are apparently now being batted around the media's fringes don't impress me.

I am willing to believe they are true. That was how things were. Poppy grabbed ass. Bob Dole made a commercial where his dog barks at a bare midriff Britney Spears, and Dole leers and says, "Easy boy." Dole was 74, Britney was 19. It wouldn't surprise me if Joe crossed today's lines too.

But ... as you write ... there is only one other realistic choice, and he is a whole lot worse.

I don't know if it's true or not. I just know the idea that nobody would tell her story is BS.

The accuser, by the way, lives near me. This was in the local press a year ago:

    https://www.theunion.com/news/nevad...d-her-while-working-in-his-u-s-senate-office/

It's not like this was unknown. The whole to-do today in the BernieSphere about this being some sort of revelation is interesting in that light.

It's pretty impressive that nobody had anything on Obama. The best that they could do is lie about his birthplace.

It seems quaint to think that one crook associated with a Presidential campaign would be a problem.

While I'm inclined to hear an accusation, a half-baked accusation by a Bernie supporter doesnt pass the smell test.

Reading up on Tara Reade makes her sound less-than credible.

Also, given the GOP's dirt-digging apparatus, one would assume that a 1993 accusation would have been weaponized decades ago. You know, probably BEFORE the author of that tweet was even born. And, you know, to discredit the running mate of that uppity Obama, right? (Yet nary a peep about this from OAN, Fox, nor any of the other right-wing media types.)

Seriously, go through the replies to that tweet, and her accusation seems to fall apart. YMMV.

I've lately been thinking about spending some quality time on my portico with a bottle of bourbon. But it's really cold outside. And it's snowing.

Not being Trump would be the best argument for just about any candidate who was running this year. And the second best argument would be that he/she is not Sanders.

    1. It's in the National Review.
    2. I have not forgotten how Cuomo screwed the Democrats for years by supporting the group that allowed the GOPs, who were in the minority, control of the state senate.

His brand of leadership is highly likely to include a bunch of Republican daddies, which will just brandish the Republican brand, so they can ******** up again in 20 years. Hard, hard, hard pass.
I'm 90% with you, Knave, but the 10% is that our culture has changed on this front.

EDIT: I wrote that last part before finding out she's a Russian asset.
