I'm not quite sure how old Knave is, but I gather we're relatively close in age and I grew up in the U.S. And WDL makes a ton more sense than WLD, especially for soccer.
Just rationally because of the points, it makes more sense. I do think as a counterpoint that saying the away team first makes more sense as conversationally you'd usually say "Seattle @ Portland", but EPL has worn me down so much that I expect it the other way now..
Random observation re: Atlanta's schedule. They end the season at TOR. Will that game have playoff implications for the Reds? If not, will Toronto fight to possibly prevent Atlanta from a shot at Toronto's record for total pts in an MLS season? (If they haven't already reached that point.) Will it matter in the SS race? One of those games that could have all or nothing left for which to play.
The Ford's were probably the most recent first couple not to have some sort of social media presence (I'm guessing Nancy Reagan had some sort of presence moderated by her staff in her later years).
I assume the reference is to the Carters. Given, as Andy said, they're alive and regularly in the news I assumed they had some sort of social media presence at this point. Both Bushes likely do, we know the Clintons and Obamas do, and the current President has access to the POTUS social media accounts.
I thought a draw just meant you ran out of time and have to get off the field for the next game. Or the network can't delay Heidi any further.
I just noticed.. It's make or break time for Portland. They'll be wiping out their games in hand between now and the 15th and they should be able to get points out of all three games. If they aren't above the red line by the 15th, it's probably time to whip out the concern trolling about whether they'll make the playoffs.
